I really enjoyed this book and the hand-drawn figures.
Nowadays, experimentalists do not have the skills one used to have any more. This book is very useful for the younger generations to see how stuff happened before you can pay someone to do all the dirty jobs for u.

1930's book on building apparatus for physics experiments. Lens sputtering, building geiger-muller tubes, producing high vacuum using mercury pumps, etc etc. Fascinating stuff.

Still useful more than 80 years later. There's a newer version of this published using more modern materials but not as as useful for home labs.
