Dora's Backpack Little Star Happy Birthday, Mami! Meet Diego! Dora Saves the Prince Dora's Treasure Hunt Good Night, Dora!
This book was often read in my house as a child. What's great about it is that it contains a multitude of short stories featuring Dora and her friends that will keep your children/students interested for a long time. As a child, I remember the bright, exotic colors were a huge component in what drew me in. On top of that it featured all my beloved characters I knew from television, Boots, Tico, The Grumpy Old Troll, The Map, Esa, Diego, etc. I also like it because some characters were not always in the TV episodes, but having them in a book, meant that I could go back and see/read about them whenever I wanted to. I would recommend this book for kinders-3rd grade.
I read it with all 6 kids and each child really enjoyed it. All the stories are interactive and speak directly to the child, asking them questions through the text and asking them to help Dora on each of her adventures. The pictures are large, colorful, and fun. The stories are a good length so that neither the reader nor listener gets fatigued. All the kids really enjoyed these vibrant, interactive stories.
Seven of Dora's stories in one collection. Fun to read, although we only read a few stories at a time. I can only take so much of Dora. Our oldest is growing out of these tales, but will oblige her younger sister occasionally. I hope to take a break from Dora the Explorer for awhile, but she's been a favorite for our girls for a long time.
We are currently reading this book every night. It is Emma's favorite book and we have read it over and over and over again. She highly recommends it, especially for 2 1/2 yr olds.
It's Dora. It reads just like the TV show. Therefore, my four year old likes it just fine but it's not something I look forward to reading repeatedly. Then again, it's not written for my age group...
My niece loved this and the stories. I got a little burnt out by the end and the ones at the end seemed kind of pointless and were shorter. I guess it's good for kids.
