outdated. read it for Musical Theatre classes and it’s just super outdated. some of it is still good information, but it’s mostly super outdated information, so keep that in mind while singing.

Lots of outdated concepts, but still an interesting read. I liked the analysis of song lyrics but the audition advice is very very out dated for 2019.

For clear instruction and a common sense approach, this book can't be beat. There are very few good vocal coaches/teachers out there. Craig's advice can be relied on to provide support and easy to understand guidelines.

As a singer/performer for over forty years, this book has come in handy many times. For students, this is one of the best benchmarks for solid direction and understanding of the presentation process.

Experience will modify some of Craig's tenets according to one's abilities, talent, and eventual expreience, but the text will always be helpful, especially as a refresher and before an audition or performance as an aid to help focus.
