Una lectura para nada sencilla, pero que dialoga totalmente con nuestra actualidad. Si bien, no estoy de acuerdo en todas su conclusiones, creo que el reino de Dios si debe hacerse visible, que de hecho, un recuento a la historia nos daremos cuenta que lo ha hecho, y que nos encaminamos hacia lo mejor, siempre con los pies en la tierra, claro.

Wolfhart Pannenberg

As a young man, the experience of light moved the author into a life of philosophy and theology. This notable modern theologian focused on the significance of Christ in the world.

In the oncoming Kingdom of God, according to Pannenberg, God's love reaches its goal, its conclusion. This concept--prolepsis--is that God is truly present in Christ and makes available what will be experienced in the future. God's transcendence brings the present into completion. God's immanence, his love increases the bountiful unity of creation.

Recommended to those interested in Christology as well as Kantian ideas of history and reality.

Helpful thoughts for a foundational theology of the Kingdom of God.

He gets very philosophical as he thinks through ethics in chapter 3, but if you can follow it helps set ethics proper as a helpful study with Kingdom theology.

Chapter 2 on the Kingdom and Church was very helpful, though far more missiological than ecclesiological.

Would have better appreciated "Theology and the Kingdom of God" if Wolfhart Pannenberg had grounded his thinking more in scripture than in philosophy.

A short read, but a good one. Pannenberg is a good example of a theologian who integrates biblical scholarship, theology, philosophy, and social justice in a compelling way. Some of the ideas expressed here could have used elaboration (like the idea that God's existence is exclusively tied to his future reign), but this is a good intro to his thought nonetheless.
