Nicholas has some growing up to do…

Nicholas is used to being the odd man out. All his friends are falling in love and finding the daddies of their dreams. Not him. He’s just been dumped by his a-hole ex because he’s too old. Lost, alone, and miserable Nicholas is ready to give up on love.

Until he meets Cesar; the older, demisexual man that looks at him with stars in his eyes. Cesar is everything Nicholas wishes he had. Responsible, sweet, caring; a perfect potential daddy.

As they grow closer the past threatens to tear them asunder. Nicholas has to decide whether to keep his heart closed or allow himself to fall in love.

Mend is a sweet, low-angst, age play novel with an insecure boy, loving friends, a wonderful Daddy and a happily ever after so delicious it’ll melt you to pieces!

This is a cute story

I really did enjoy this story.. the two main characters are amazing and sweet. My only issue with it was the 3rd act breakup.. a demi man who takes ages to even feel ready to date someone.. but is fine less then a day after a huge fight where you find your partner violating your contact and basically saying forget this relationship? Sorry that threw me out of it

MEND is the third book in the Tender Hearts series but I read it as a standalone. I now want to read the first two!!!

Nicholas has been dumped by his "Daddy" for being too old... at twenty-two! A friend agrees to help him but, when Nicholas turns up, he's not at home. This is the straw that broke the camel's back and Nicholas cries. Along comes Cesar, home (next door) after a hard day but nothing pushes his buttons like a boy in need.

I thoroughly enjoyed this story! Nicholas is a bit of a brat at times and Theo says it perfectly when he says although they are littles, Nicholas has some growing up to do. By acting out, he nearly loses the best thing he'll ever find. Cesar is a wonderful character and I loved how his demi-sexuality worked with his kink.

The story flows without any unnecessary drama. I say unnecessary as I've already told you Nicholas is a brat at times! I loved hearing about the others boys. I'm hoping Theo will get his own story as my heart hurt for him.

A lovely story that I definitely recommend.

Nicholas is only 22, but he has been dumped by 3 Daddies so far for “aging out”, the last time kicked out with nothing but the clothes on his back, no money, and nowhere to go. He arranges to stay with his boss Tyler, and while waiting for him to come home, he meets Cesar, the neighbor next door. Nicholas looks so sad and forlorn, Cesar takes pity on him and takes him out for a meal while waiting for Tyler to get home.
Cesar is a doctor, a demisexual, and a Daddy without a boy, not really looking for one, but he is intrigued by Nicholas. As a friendship begins, evolving slowly into a relationship, Nicholas’s insecurities and past create problems which the couple must get through to reach their HEA.
These two main characters are well developed, Cesar is very caring and supportive, although very slow and deliberate as he approaches involvement with Nicholas, while Nicholas is lovable as he fights his insecurities, low self esteem, and his desires for someone to love him for himself, not as a toy to be cast aside at a whim. Cesar sees Nicholas for who he is and wants to be the one to give him all the love he craves.
Sweet story, 4.5 stars.

Mend is Nic’s and Cesar’s story. Nic gets unceremoniously dumped by his boyfriend / daddy in a coffee shop without anywhere to stay or any money to get a room. This brings him into contact with Cesar. They have an immediate attraction but they both have a history of unsuccessful daddy and little relationships so they proceed with caution. Added to that is the fact that Cesar is demisexual so he needs to make a deep connection for anything to progress.

The story follows them as they build trust and begin to make a life together. They are helped along by good friends and littles Jaxon, Simon, Theo and their daddies. There are anxious moments and there are joyous ones but everyone is going to get their happy ever after, even Kevin, Nic’s ex it would seem, if only for now.

If you like the daddy / little kink this will do it for you. The couples get to express themselves fairly openly. I enjoyed the interactions between the main characters although they felt more than a little bit entitled but that could be just me.

I enjoyed this book. I liked the characters and the supporting characters. Definitely a hurt/comfort, slow-burn romance. Nicholas was dumped by his ex for being too old when he turned twenty-two, and Cesar is a demisexual who needs the time to get to know someone and develop a relationship. My heart really hurt for Nicholas and the coldness of that sudden breakup. I loved Cesar from the start and their initial meeting was kind of cute in spite of Nicholas's sadness... though he [Nic] bungled it a bit. He is a brat, but it's mostly due to his insecurities. And possibly his age. He still needs some more maturing, introspective, and maybe understanding of what people say to him instead of making it about himself. Theo said it best:

“I know we’re all littles,” he said with a reassuring smile, “but you need to grow up a little if you want something real like what our friends have.”

An enjoyable read. 4 stars.

Mend, the third book in the Tender Hearts series was by far my favorite in the series.

Nicholas, who got dumped by his Daddy for being too old a week after he turned twenty-two found himself homeless and broke. Nic's boss agreed to let him stay at his house until he got back on his feet, and there he met Cesar, the next door neighbor.

Cesar, who was demi, had trouble finding a boy since none of them seemed to want to give him the time to get to know them before jumping into bed. It took Nic a little while to understand Cesar, but once he did, they developed a sweet friendship before agreeing to explore more.

Despite Nic's insecurity and immaturity at times, Cesar turned out to be the perfect Daddy for him and the two men got their happily ever after together.

The MC’s had an instant attraction, but I am glad that it took longer for Cesar to make the connection and build onto that in order for a relationship to develop. It just broke my heart how Nicholas just assumed that Cesar’s kindness needed to be paid back in sexual favors, but so glad that Cesar was just kind to be kind. Their chemistry was amazing once they did get together. Each of the characters had issues and trauma to overcome, and the story had me on the edge of my seat waiting for the conclusion. This was the third book in the series and even though you can read it as standalone, I recommend reading them in order since some of the characters get their HEA in previous books.

Wonderful!

This book is amazing and I loved it! The story of Nicholas and Cesar is sweet and sassy and oh so much fun to read! They meet when Nicholas is at his lowest and soon, their relationship starts to build as a friendship. The way it evolves and turns into so much more as the story unfolds is heartwarming and I really enjoyed how it comes about. They will hit a bit of a bump when Nicholas runs into his ex, but they will manage to pull through it and come out the other side better than ever. We get to see some old friends and it makes the book a tender and heartwarming story of love and second chances.

This was a cute age play story, it's always interesting to me to read books involving one character being demi because it prolongs their "courting/dating/talking" period in a unique way. Another thing is that being Taylor Swift fans were a big part of this couple's identity so the references were constant but as someone who isn't a fan of Taylor Swift like that a lot of wordplay just went over my head and left me feeling kind of lost.

As the story went along, my heart broke several times for Nicholas. Looking at him from my 60s it was unbelievably sad that someone would have been dumped for being too old for anything at 22, lol. Understandably, he's confused, resentful and angry at times and totally at loose ends. Then, there's Cesar, the epitome of the caring, compassionate hero in this story. He's not perfect, but he's perfect for Nicholas who needs a role model as well as a lover. I am a huge fan of age gap romances and this one ticked all my boxes just right.

Nic and Cesar were really good book. Nic and Cesar were exactly who the other needs but it's not all smooth sailing for them Cesar and Nic have to work their way drama, steam, love, past hurt and insecurities to finally get their much deserved HEA. I really enjoyed this book and I am looking forward to more.

Nicholas is having a hard day, being dumped by his current Daddy due to his age, he is not at his best when he meets Cesar.
Cesar is intrigued by Nicholas and wants to get to know him better.
What begins is their journey of love as Cesar gets to know the real Nicholas and Nicholas finally gets a Daddy who loves the real him.

A low angst read, filled with emotion, cute Daddy/boy scenes, great supporting characters and a nice HEA.

I don’t think I’ve ever read a Daddy/little book that features a demisexual Daddy, but I think it really works. Nic was recently dumped and mistreated by his Daddy, so he’s not quite sure what to make of the kind and caring Cesar. I liked how Cesar being demi changed the pace of their relationship, which is often accelerated in Daddy/little romance. A cute read, low angst with not a lot of unnecessary drama.

My heart.

This was such a sweet heartwarming and heartbreaking read. My heart went out to Nic and all he had been through. I’m so glad the authors wrote Cesar the way they did. I’ve been wanting a Daddy like him. He’s the best Daddy for Nic. I hope we get Theo’s story. There were a few things that didn’t mesh and a few I’d like to have explained better but overall it was a great read.

Broken hearts and tantrums

This was a nice enough story, but didn’t measure up to the previous two in my opinion. For me, it came down to Nicholas, his circumstances, and his emotional maturity (or more precisely, the lack thereof). Cesar was a wonderful Daddy to him though and so indulgent. It was nice seeing the other boys again and hopefully Theo meets the right one for him.

Really sweet book
Nicholas gets dumped for being too old for his daddy, so he goes to stays with his friend. There he meets Cesar , the neighbour who takes him out to cheer him up.
Nicholas tries to thank him in the only way he knows but Cesar stops him
Cesar is Demi so needs to get to know his partner and build a relationship up first.
Even though Nicholas is quite immature Cesar becomes the perfect daddy for him.

Sometimes, the forever one shows up when all hope is lost. Nicholas, is outside looking in as all his friends find their forever Daddies. After his last time being dumped, Nick thinks he may never find a Daddy of his own. Then, he meets Cesar who seems to be made just for him. Sweet story with a little spice and some heartburn, but we come out on the other side feeling satisfied. Nice story. Great characters, nice flow. Well done! This book has something for everyone. There’s hurt, comfort, a themed dynamic, Little/Daddy and a love story. The m/c’s make it through with trials and errors and finally find their HeA. Supporting characters play into the story well. Interesting characters throughout help give this book it’s strength. An engaging time. I voluntarily reviewed an arc of this book.

This is a really sweet story. It is part of a series but I read it as a standalone which did not pose any problems. It features a slow build-up due to the fact that one of the MCs is demisexual, a great group of friends and some seriously adorable scenes. There were some minor inconsistencies which tripped me up but all in all it was a sweet, feel-good read.

Sweet Story..

I've been following along with this series and I've been enjoying it. Cesar is such a sweet man. Nicholas deserves to be taken care of by someone who pays attention and dotes on his needs. I love when Cesar takes him to Disney!! It's the best gesture a man can do to show how much he cares. I can't wait to see how the series progresses!!

Poor Nic, this story has a pretty horrid start for him. Cesar is a different kind of Daddy but eventually this is a sweet romantic Daddy/boy perfect story. The secondary characters, most of whom we have read in previous books of this series, all make this such a good story. I loved every page! I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

He has just lost his daddy for being too old and he is now lost. Everyone around him are finding their daddy and having a happy ending. Maybe he needs to allow nature takes its course. Will he find the daddy he needs? Will it be a much better place for him? See if he finally gets the daddy he wants and needs in his life

This is a good read. I love books with Demisexuals like myself in them. The characters do develop a sweet chemistry and love for one another. Worth the read.
