The Complete Idiot's Guide to Gambling Like a Pro

Rate this book
There are no misleading win big promises here, just the sensible attitude that gambling is entertainment and will probably cost you money. But since you have a chance to make a profit, and even hit the jackpot, the authors show you how to maximize that chance, reduce losses, and even get advantageous information from casino employees. You won't find easier reading descriptions of such basics as probability and game mechanics. And the nuggets on gambling trivia, lingo and history are terrific. Read this book before your casino vacation. Then, pack it along.

I received this book from my father in-law before my honeymoon to Las Vegas. It's either this book or getting up early in the morning to sit through lessons with the older gamblers wearing sweat suits in Vegas.

This book covers the rules of the various games adequately but does not include any useful playing strategies.
