Due to recent changes by Goodreads, I feel it is a good idea to let visitors to my page know that any ratings marked as 'rated by author' are ratings from external websites that I have uploaded myself (as you will see from the text of the reviews). Thanks!

Who is Luxie?

I live in a beautiful city in the Southwest of England, famed as a World Heritage Site. My first experience of writing was creating what is known as 'fan fiction' on the Internet forum of one of my favourite artists. Lots of my readers gave me really positive feedback and encouraged me to write more and take things further. Without them, I would never have had the confidence to submit a manuscript.
I enjoy the process of writing and creating characters I would like to meet and situations I would like to be in. I love sexy stories about strong men, and even stronger women, and the idea of a woman who is or becomes brave enough to take what she wants and not let previous life experiences hold her back.

A central message in much of my work involves a decision on her part to take risks in her personal life, and enjoy the rewards.

More Bad Things by Luxie Ryder: Three Star
Finn is invited to a Halloween bash, hosted by none other than his ex. He is determined that Byron will regret that he ever dumped him. What he doesn’t know is that Byron already regrets it.

You can tell this is the authors first rodeo in man love but she did a good job. I loved that this wasn’t instant love, there is history behind the characters and the author does an amazing job of relaying that to the reader. The connection between the the bffs overshadows that of the love birds, they are truely hysterical. I smirked and laughed the whole time I read it. It was a fun, short read that I really enjoyed.

Dulce by Avril Ashton: Five Star

Griffin hasn’t been home in three years so he isn’t completely unaware of some of the hostilities going on, he is surprised that it might get in the way of his mating. Dulce is being groomed to be the next alpha after his father takes down Griffin’s father that is.

I have completely and utterly fallen in love with Griffin. Who doesn’t love a man/wolf who knows what he wants and goes after it with a single mindedness. Add in the fact that he is a complete alpha that goes all hot and bothered when Dulce goes alpha on him. Dulce is Latin, bald, and tattooed, I think I might have drooled just a little bit saying that. Then put that with his dominate attitude with vulnerability and you’ve got a wet dream come to life. Oh and did I get wet. Though there is some angst to the story it’s just too hot to be anything but erotic. The only complaint I have is the insta-love but in such a short story that’s hard to get around and completely easy to ignore when compared to how awesome this story is. Highly recommended to the wolf lovers out there.

Sexy Beast by Anna Keraleigh: Five Star

What’s the world coming to when a shifter can’t take a walk in the woods without being shot at by hunters? Declan isn’t sure he is going to be able to escape unscathed. Erik sees the hunters on his land and can’t let them kill the beautiful creature even if it means he might be the beasts next meal.

Declan is an Irish legend come to life with a quick wit and insatiable appetite. Erik is a regular guy who enjoys the rustic life and writing fantasy in his spare time. The passion between the two really heat up the pages. I might have re-read this story in the privacy of my own bed with no panties, I'm just saying. This story was a complete blast. It’s rather fast paced with mating and insta-love but the humor blended it all together seamlessly. My favorite part "What are you?" The stranger lowered his gun. "You're one big..." he leaned over and glanced at his balls, "wow... defininely a male. Declan wanted to turn, maybe show him just how big his balls were. ROFL that's awsome!

Claret by Miho Li: Five Star and should come with a label cause your panties are going to fly across the room and hit the wall. Must have a vibrator in hand when reading this story, trust me!

Toshi is an apprentice Shaman and part time college student. He knows better than to pull over to the side of the road to talk to strangers but he can’t seem to stop himself.

If I was forced to pick a favorite through threat of death, it would be this one. It’s chaotic and dark which made it all the more captivating and enticing. The characters Toshi and Aki are anything but perfect and lean closer to neurotic. It completely works. The characters alone would be worth reading the book and yet the plot is just as hypnotizing. This is only part one and you better believe I’ll be rushing off to buy part two as soon as it comes out. I highly recommend reading this book but not during daylight hours and if possible have a bed present.

Dream Weaver by Kastil Eavenshade: Four Star

Colin has been crushed and isn’t sure if he can pick himself up. Fanaticizing should be safe though and he has some good material in his sexy gym partner. So what if Justin is straight and married, this is just fantasy… right?

I’ve never seen a plot like this and the author did an amazing job of playing it up. I completely felt Colin’s loneliness and then his desire for Jeremy. It was easy to see why he loves care-free and considerate Jeremy. It pulls the reader in by playing on the fact that we all have fantasies and dreams. Not only is it stimulating but well written, it never felt like a short story. Attention all fairy lovers, you’ll love this story, I know I did.

Really Good!!
As the title implies, this is an anthology of five paranormal M/M romance tales with vampires, werewolves, shifters and a fairy. I'll review each tale and give each one a separate rating for both content (1-5) and sexual heat level (1-4). Because of the M/M nature of the stories, this has the highest sexual rating (4 of 4) but in this case, I'll be giving a heat level within this highest sexual rating because not every one has the same steaminess.

MORE BAD THINGS by Luxie Ryder
Thirty-somethings Finn and his roommate Keisha are going to a True Blood themed Halloween costume party hosted by his ex. Turns out not only has his ex changed, but he still loves Finn. The story from Keisha's point view and her adventures is in the Midnight Seduction Anthology. 29 pages
Content - A Pack Howl (4) Heat - Steamy (2)

DULCE by Avril Ashton
Griffin, werewolf, walks into a strip club/bar and finds his mate (Dulce) but there are interesting times ahead as his mate is in denial and may be more alpha than he is. His "mate might be straight and he didn’t want to want" him. 24 pages
Content - An Alpha Howl (5) Heat - Four Alarm Fire #@!%$ (4)

SEXY BEAST by Anna Keraleigh
Declan, a Glatisant -- half leopard and half all kinds of other things, is shot at and his ear is nicked by some poachers. Rescued by the hot landowner, Erik, just before he passes out from blood loss and having to run from poachers and their bullets meaning he shifts from his animal form. 18 pages
Content - An Alpha Howl (5) Heat - Hot+ (3.5)

CLARET by Miho Li
On his way home, Toshi meets a twenty-something-looking guy, Aki, sitting along a trail. Aki's first words to him are, "Wow...You're really pretty." For some reason Toshi is strangely drawn to Aki even though he is acting very weird. 32 pages
Content - One Good Howl (3) Heat - Steamy (2)

DREAM WEAVER by Kastil Eavenshade
Colin finds a music box in Rosie’s Charmed Antiques which the owner assures him is "magical and enchanting, she’d promised it would give him his wildest desires." He thinks the thing he desires most is Justin, his gym partner who is happily married. Nice twist at the end. 17 pages
Content - One Good Howl (3) Heat - Four Alarm Fire #@!%$ (4)

This is a keeper to read over and over.

Finally finished this and not because it was a tough read. Barring Dream Weaver (because I write it and I don't review my work), More Bad Things by Luxie Ryder was my absolute favorite. Beginning to end,Finn and Byron's story just was lovely and the love scenes were intense and saucy. I liked Claret by Miho Li. The twist on vampires was nice. I would have loved to see this as a bigger story to get more of Aki's story.

More Bad Things by Luxie Ryder - 4 stars... a good short story. I liked the characters but it was too short and i wanted more back story

~~~
Dulce by Avril Ashton - 1 star, and that's generous. Took me over a month to finish this less than 15 page story. They meet exchange hand jobs. Next night meet again, fuck while "I love you's" thrown around like crazy. Every mm cliche imaginable used in this one. Baby way over used. Eat me eat me said a lot any stupid annoying thing you can think of was used here. So this was three sex scenes. No character depth or relationship development. Just annoying not even hot sex.
~~~

Sexy Beast by Anna Keraleigh - 2.5 stars...Compared to the story before it this one was really good, but not as good as the first. 2.5 stars cause it was more than just sex (not much) and the sex was at least hot-ish.

Characters weren’t really developed the world wasn’t developed at all and the POV were frequent and erratic. Not the best quality of writing, no grammar mistakes but could have used stronger editing for content and style. Two characters talk back and forth in the same paragraph. IMO each time a different character starts talking you should start a new paragraph, not have one huge long paragraph with POV changes and dialogue changes. That’s just confusing.

~~~
Claret by Miho Li 0 stars. couldn't even finish it. made it half way but the MC is an unlikable asshole. nothing has happened until very end of part one. even that was stupid MC passed out so all action missed. to this point we just watch them eat a lot. i am so tired of reading about how much he eats. this was just pointless, confusing and no reason to care what happens. MC was such a douche! think he was supposed to be cool being a motorcycle riding asshole. smokes cigarettes, yeah douche be cool like that. he throws lit smokes into the bushes in the woods yeah how cool is that douche. This antho obviously led with their one good story and the rest just suck. so far.
~~~

Dreamweaver by Kastil Eavenshade 0 Stars Lusting after a married man, stupid plot. Dream sex, hate that, it's pointless and not hot. Then flash back sex, hate that also pointless. Then more stupid pointless dream sex So unsexy and just bad

~~~~~
Not worth $4.99 if it was free I'd recommend the firt story
