Bullied #1-4

Bullied: The Complete Series

Rate this book
STEPHEN KING ON CHRISTOPHER "Put me down as an enthusiastic Christopher Smith fan. ...Smith is a cultural genius." --STEPHEN Christopher Smith's international best-seller BULLIED, the relentlessly bullied 18-year-old Seth Moore is gifted an amulet that ignites within him a wealth of supernatural powers. If Seth uses the amulet properly, it will protect him from those determined to crush him. But after so many years of being beaten down and humiliated, the question is whether Seth can resist creating a firestorm of horror when the bullies around him create one fatal, awful act that begs for revenge. Soon, all hell breaks loose. And when it does, a war builds against Seth as others vie to take control of the amulet and use its powers for themselves. It's a war that could mean the death of Seth's friends--and even Seth himself. From the best-selling author of FIFTH AVENUE and RUNNING OF THE BULLS, BULLIED is an intense thriller that moves at a break-neck pace.In print, the set is about 350 pages long.PRAISE FOR CHRISTOPHER THOMSON ON THE BULLIED SERIES***It seems I'm the first to review this grand finale to what has been a really great series. It's a bit different..I suggested in an earlier review that it was like a cross between Stephen King and J K Rowling..and totally immersed in fantasy. But it's fun and gripping in an addictive sort of way and well worth the read. Chris Smith has found the fool proof solution for dealing with any apparently difficult situation...magic and the power of thought! If you want to lop of a villain's head but don't have the means, it's simple...just 'think' a machete into your hand and hey presto, job done! And this sort of thing is prevalent right through the series, which sort of drifts away from the 'Bullied' theme sometime during Book 2. Interestingly, the author brings us right back to the theme towards the end of the concluding story and even leaves us with a very clear 'anti bullying' message. Really cleverly conceived and constructed. All in all, this series is superb writing from a newer author who won't stay 'newer' for long. I have to say I do prefer his more conventional thrillers, but the Bullied series is a great romp through magic and the supernatural, and if, like me, you initially shied away as this isn't really your normal genre, then, believe me, you'd be missing a treat. So I urge you all to join me and 'discover' the work of Chris Smith. When he hits the international best seller list time and again, as he's already started to do, you'll be able to say, like me, that you were enjoying his books when he was an unknown writer! ***PLANET KINDLE ON CHRISTOPHER SMITH***"Fifth Avenue, the first novel by penned Christopher Smith, is a fantastic first effort and was the reason I was simply unable to put my Kindle down over this Christmas period. And I would go as far to say that it ranks as one of the best first novels I’ve ever read."--PLANET KINDLE***P.M. RICHTER ON CHRISTOPHER SMITH***"Fifth Avenue. A big, big novel. A blockbuster? Yes. A bestseller. It should be. The author, at the beginning of the novel, thanks the people who introduced him to the 'real' Fifth Avenue. I suspect the real one could not be as interesting or engrossing as this novel. ...This is a highly recommended novel. It deserves the five stars." -- P.M. RICHTER***CHRIS TRUSCOTT ON CHRISTOPHER SMITH***Christopher Smith delivers an amazing story that's worth the advance billing. ...

I read a review of this my Stephen King who said he was Smith's new biggest fan. That was good enough for me. It actually felt like I was reading a King novel. However, where King tends to have "down time" and a lot of descriptive detail in his stories, Smith did not. It was truly non stop from the beginning of the first book to the end of the last one. Extremely great fun!

Although Stephen King is a fan of the author and the book, I was unimpressed. The story was unbelievable to me.

This series was a "freebie find" for my Kindle...after reading it though, I actively searched for other things by Christopher smith. the series is a fast read, moves along quickly and keeps you reading. I thought it would be a good teen read, but it is a good a read for adults as for teens...written by a man who himself was bullied as a youngster, it is where all kids who are teased and bullied would like to go..at least in their mind, if nowhere else. Try it...you might like it.

If you're looking for unbelievable entertainment, this is the book for you. The plot drew me in despite the outrageous revenge. The story read like a high school loner/loser's fantasy. Very little character development because the story unfolded so quickly. Fun read if you don't think about the plot too hard.

One of those Amazon free deals. This was was advertised as a 4-book box set, but it is more like the length of one novel. Little bit too much of a revenge fantasy for my tastes with not enough character growth for my taste.

Last book let it down

I really enjoyed the box set until the last book really, which let it down for me, i would of liked more thought into the plot, it all went a little childish and the end seemed rushed, it could of been far better.
Seth was a great character but with all that power he could of done a lot more with it discreetly.
Also to read on the Kindle paperwhite was disastrous as the letter type is far too small or gigantic, I had to read it on my tablet which was fine.

Great series...

I loved how the author used a current topic of much concern, bullying. It can get a little cheesy, hence only 4 stars, but if you really pay attention, you get some valuable lessons.

When The Bullied Fights Back.

Seth has been bullied far to long and they all deserve what they get. Seth Moore is an 18 year old who got bullied by his classmates since as far back as he can remember. Until one day changes everything. His dads friend, Creepy Jim, gives Seth an amulet that will do anything Seth wants it to do...Get rid of his pimpled face? Done. Give him a car? Done. Destroy the Bullies? Done. After a tragic event, Seth takes revenge on the bullies but not in the typical way that one would think......Now, gaining the confidence to fight back, does he have what it takes to fight against other forces, who will stop at nothing to get this amulet?
I gave rated this book ★ ★ ★, because although it was good and at points very detailed, for you to picture exactly what is being done to people, I thought it was a little cheesey. Don't get me wrong, bullying is a horrible and unforgiving act, but the way Seth would "preach" about it...to me just seemed a little corny. Specially when talking to certain teachers and at the very end of the last book. But still - big props to Seth for fighting back and taking action.

I started my Christopher Smith reading journey with the Bullied series, thanks to a free offering at the Amazon Kindle Store. This is a good, fun read that I would gladly have paid for. The storytelling was smooth and polished, with none of the irritating plot, grammatical and spelling errors that many free and lower-priced Kindle books tend to have.

If you like an exciting supernatural thriller, don't hesitate to pick up the Bullied series. The main character is very relatable and delightfully flawed. I enjoyed his struggle to "be good" while having so much power. This series can be enjoyed by the young adult audience as well as us more mature folks. ;)

Each of this author's offerings get better, and I have no doubt that he is going places in the literary world. I highly recommend his other series also, which are perhaps for more mature audiences who enjoy awesome, fast-paced thrillers/mysteries.

I have become a big fan, and look forward to many years (hopefully) of Christopher Smith.

Seth Moore is an eight-teen year old outcast, a victim of bullying as long as he can remember. He's not like the rest and for that his peers bully him, but when he is given an amulet from a family friend, supernatural powers are bestowed upon him. Will Seth give in to the overwhelming power of the amulet, or will he learn to control it.

I'll be honest. from the blurb on Amazon I didn't think I would like the story, it reminded me of most young adult trash but after reading the first book, I had to continue on.

Bullying is a growing concern today and it very well should be. Smith brings the issue of bullying and the role teachers play in it. Seth is a normal teenager just looking to fit in and the amulet proves to be useful but at cost.

Bullied is a story filled with supernatural powers, witches, and awesome fight scenes with a touching story of one boy's journey to be accepted.

After receiving a kindle freebie from the Bullied Series I became a fast fan. I am not normally a super natural fan but I loved this one. What usually turns me off from that genre is the inability to relate or believe. That isn't the case with Smith's books in this series. His writing style is so creative and engulfing you can envision what is occurring as if you're part of the plot.

This author needed a better editor to help him figure out who is his intended audience. The story is a great one for middle schoolers but the language and action is often R rated. Although the main character is a high schooler the storyline is not sophisticated enough. Anyway that being said it was a quick, easy read but it could have been better written.

Great series to get for your digital devices. Each book flows right into the other. Great plot. Hits on a very public subject these days. The Paranormal/Supernatural twist is well developed and not over done. Great book for both young adult and adults alike.

This was a very good series. Yes, there's some errors in the grammar, etc. But overall, it's still a good book! It makes me think about how I can help my daughters from being bullied and it makes me wish there were magical amulets for all the kids being bullied out there.

Solidly written and would recommend for teen/YA. Read it all in one sitting, but liked how it was broken down into four books for younger readers.

Would recommend.

Badly needs an editor. If you already have one, get one that is literate and know how to spell. Otherwise a fun story.
