Master of the Hunt When the oracle warns Prince Aeson that his future mate is in the human realm and is in great danger, he wastes no time going in search of her. Problem is, he has no idea who he's looking for. He's never met her and the oracle couldn't give him anything more than small clues as to who she is and where she might be.
Sent to one of his favorite hangouts--a sex club--Aeson is stunned when a beauty shows up on the arm of another man, a man void of emotion. He senses trouble surrounding her and something else--something that marks her as his. He doesn't care if she is or isn't the woman the oracle told him about, she's the woman he wants. Anyone who dares to stand in his way will feel his wrath and, before the night is out, she'll feel exactly what it's like to be taken by a prince.
WARNING: This novella contains hot, explicit sex and violence, dominant alpha bird shifting males who think they're always right, even when they're dead wrong and a woman who isn't about to stand by and let them boss her around. Est page count 97.

Totally Awesome Read that will have you Awe-ing, laughing, and smiling real big in the end. Prince Aeson and his Buteos Regalis family and people are truly fierce bird shifters and humorous at the same time. Children are almost obsolete in Accipitridae Realm (bird realm) and Prince Aeson’s brother King Kabril has already found his mate, three young boys, and only wants Prince Aeson to have the same happiness he does.
As King Kabril confronts his brother Prince Aeson about his duty to his people, he has the oracles seek for Aeson’s true mate but they can only give him bits and pieces about his true mate and all he has to go on is the symbol of a Sparrow, that he must save her life, and that he will find her in a bar. The drama that unfolds as Prince Aeson searches for his true mate is full of action, humor that will have you laughing out loud, some crazy BDSM scenes within a club that will have your head a spinning, Hot erotic scenes between Aeson and his mate Shelby that will make your toes curl, and some surprises of new members being added to the bird realm.
I loved the detective hunt for a killer being added to the story, the interaction between the detective humans, and the action pack drama to save Prince Aeson’s true mate. The fast paced story definitely had me glued to the pages and wanting more in the end.
The HEA was perfect and had me falling in love with all the characters in this series. This whole series is totally Awesome and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves shifter reads especially paranormal bird shifters.
I have no idea how this book got such good ratings. It is truly terrible - I basically hate-read it.
The bird men come from bird planet and have bird gods as they are all described. There are portals to Earth that the bird men can fly through. The only women you meet in bird society are either in a harem or work in the kitchen. The poor kitchen maids have a part time job of having to have sex with the various males around as well as working in the kitchen. The bird men despise them and call them whores. The harem workers have to not only service the king, but his brothers and men as well. They are also called whores. There are no other bird women mentioned. None. The only women with any power are the human women who mate the various members of the royal families.
A few of the books have the bird man hero masturbating in a hall or the kitchen and leaving the mess for the maids (who also have sex with them and are also despised) to clean up. There is also a lot of time spent describing the hero's sexual past and how extensive it is, which is not surprising considering they're hundreds of years old, but the way they describe women is unpleasant.
This one gets two stars because for once the hero doesn't say "A human woman??!!? Giving up near constant sex with women who don't have a choice?!!!??." Surprise! The oracle says he is going to mate a human too. The heroine in this book as a little more agency that the other heroines and there is more plot. Her date takes her to a sex club to kill her and the hero finds her there. She's not all that bright and having seen people engaged in various forms of sex, she asks her date "It's not a dance club, is it?" Starting in this book, the bird men are very condescending bordering on passive aggression. There's nothing like someone laughing at your legitimate concerns and feelings.
Prince Aeson was told by the Oracle that his mate on earth was in danger and that he needed to find her quickly. All he had to go on was the name Sparrow, but it didn't take him long to find her. Shelby is going to a club a guy she has just started dating wants to go to. However, when they get there, she has a bad feeling and wants to leave. He doesn't want to let her go but Aeson shows up and saves her from the man. Aeson gets a surprise about Shelby and who she is. Will Shelby accept Aeson as her mate? Will the deal with the man that is still after her?
This is an amazing story once I started it I couldn't put it down. This is a well written and very entertaining story I would recommend this book to any book lover.

This was a great story. I loved this series by Mandy M. Roth. I didn't want this story to end.
Aeson is a prince and it is time for him to find his mate. He is sent to the Earth realm where she is living. He must get to her before something kills her. When he meets Shelby, he can't believe his good fortune. Shelby is on a date when she meets Aeson but their connection is too powerful for them to ignore. Will Aeson be able to keep her safe?
This was a much better storyline than book #2. There was drama, mystery, intrigue, humor and of course romance. Shelby is sweet and a little naive, while Aeson is the typical playboy Prince. Once the Oracle has spoken, Aeson leaves for Earth realm on the adventure of his many cycles.

Mandy M. Roth has written a 5-star book. This is the story of Shelby and Aseon. Aseon has been told by the seers that his mate is in danger and is a human. They tell him to go to a place he has gone to before. He goes to a BDSM club and that is where he sees Shelby. She is with Roland and doesn't seem to be too happy with where they are. He goes up to her and it seems like things click for them. She stands by Aseon because she feels safe with him. She is a seer and she knows now what Roland has done. Something happens and Roland ends up going to the bathroom. When he is gone, Shelby wants a phone and Aseon starts to take her to one but before they can get to one, someone grabs her arm and she turns around and hits them. It ends up being her friend Panos and with him is Kim. She is then told what is going on and why they are at the club. While they are all talking, Shelby has a vision and it involves her brother Shelton. She sees the van he is in gets hit by a semi-truck and burst into flames. She goes running outside and starts shouting his name. She sees a man walking off from her left and it reminds her of Aseon and she looks at him and realized it is not him. The man is carrying two things in his hands and as she looks at him again, she sees it is Shelton. When she says Shelton's name again, Aseon sets her down and she goes running toward Shelton and jumps into his arms. Shelton is not too happy with Aseon having kissed his sister and lets it known. Shelton, Panos, and Kim tell Shelby that she is Roland's target and has been for eight months. They decide that she needs to be taken somewhere safe so that Roland can't get to her. Aseon is going to talk her back to his home but before they can leave, Rhios, her father shows up and is worried that Aseon is there with his children. Aseon tells him that things are different than the last time that he was there in his homeworld. Aseon tells Rhios that he is Shelby's mate and asks for her hand. Shelton has a problem with this and tells his father that he can't just let Aseon have Shelby. After Rhios talks with Shelton, things calm down and Aseon gets ready to leave with Shelby. She tells him of a place that she dreams about and it is Aseon's home. Things are going well for Shelby and Aseon until he claims her before she makes him promise not to until she is ready. He has to tell her that she is his mate and that he claimed her. She gets mad for a little while but she forgives him. Things are fine until they go back to her apartment and somehow Roland gets her and takes her. When Aseon finds her gone, he goes a little crazy. Since they are mates, he can track her. He finds out where she is and he, Shelton, Panos, and a few others go after her. When he sees that she is hurt, he doesn't hold back on Roland. He feels that it is his fault that she was taken and now doesn't feel like he deserves her. Will Shelby and Aseon work things out between them? This was a wonderful book and I would recommend it to anyone.

This one was interesting. Shelby was a good character though I wish that there had been a bit more about her specialness. It seems like it will be meaningful and then it's just dropped. I did enjoy the set-up and the little surprises. Aeson is fine. Though something that has been bothering me in the other books really hit me in this one. Aeson is known for his constant use of brothels and clubs and whatnot. But they make a point that this is just Aeson being Aeson, but the women are lowly women of loose morals. Of course Shelby still has her V card, and is pure. Because boys will be boys but girls that sleep with boys are the worst and don't deserve love or a mate...or anything but scorn.

Kabrill's brother Aeson is secretly longing for a mate. Kabrill forces the Oracles to foretell Aeson's direction in finding her. Vague references of a swallow, and he's off to the human realm. Shelby turns out to have her own visions of things to come.
Her brother is a cop, and she's been undercover to bring down a serial killer. Aeson discovers her family's secret, and she's taken by the killer on a trip back to her realm.
I really enjoyed this one. The drama, and Shelby's family dynamics really sets up future potential book(s).
I'm sad this was the last book in the series on Hoopla / audio. Patiently waiting for audio to be released or library to get remaining books.
I will assume that you have read the other books in the series, though that is not strictly necessary. Aeson is the second of triplets with his "older" brother Kabril being the king. He has lately been frequenting sex clubs in the Earth realm and when he tells Kabril this, the king decides it is time the oracle was consulted to find him his mate. And not a minute too soon. It seems that Aeson's mate is in danger and she will die soon if he doesn't find her.
The book is not terribly long so I will leave you to find out what happens next. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Loved Aeson! These birds of prey certainly know how to leave an impression lol. While Aeson didn’t think domesticated life was for him, it didn’t stop him from heading to the mortal realm when he was told his mate was in danger. Even though he didn’t have a lot of clues as to her identity, he does find her, as well as the danger that is following her. He makes plenty of mistakes while trying to keep her protected, but is he too late to truly save her? Grab this book if you want to find out!

Bird shifter Prince Aeson has just been told that his mate is in trouble and he must find her in the human world quickly or she will perish. He finds her and so much more as he protects her and meets her family, and someone he has known a long time. The characters are terrific, with intense feelings and automatic trust. The storyline has several substories going, with a serial killer, another realm and the fated mate. Loved the chemistry and the entertaining way it all fell together into a great ending. Fantastic series.. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout in exchange for an honest review.
The story progresses. The only problem is that I would have liked to see all the stories in an omnibus since each story is so short. I enjoyed meeting Aeson and Shelby and look forward to reading more about all the couples in the future. The writing is good and grammar issues are few and far between. Ms. Roth definitely takes her craft seriously and treats each word as a lover to tempt you further into the Bird Shifter world. I’d recommend this book to anyone loving shifter novels. Enjoy and fly (since they are hawk shifters) high with your prince of choice!
Third in the series This series has gone from funny to darker and this is darker still . A great read but much darker storyline that the earlier two with sexclubs and serial killers and as usual a very overprotective shifter male being put into his place by his feisty mate . A really good series with lots of variety and some great characters even if they do all tend to be macho men to the extreem . Cant wait for then ext book in the series

Prince Aeson, Hawk Shifter and lover of all women has just received a surprising prediction from the kingdoms oracle. His future mate is in the human realm and in imminent danger. For this shifter things are about to get real! Book #3 is another fun read in the King of Prey storyline that is well written and brings a refreshing Je ne sais quoi to the fantasy genre. I have enjoyed this and all the other books featured in this wonderful series!

Aeson is told his fated mate life`s in danger unless he can find her. Shelby is dating man that is dangerous but doesn't know it. Shelby meets Aeson at a sex club as her dangerous boyfriend is trying to get her somewhere alone. She is uneasy with him, but when Aeson comes to her aid she feels safe. Aeson knows Shelby is his fated mate, so he'll do anything to keep her safe.
This is a fated mate love story that has steamy rising high.

This is the 3rd book in the King of Prey series and I feel you need to have read the first 2 books to get the most enjoyment. The is Aeson (playboy Prince) and Shelby's story. You will find drama, mystery, intrigue, humour a few twists and turns that makes for a good story. What happens when the Oracle spokens?

Im a huge fan Mandy Ops books so I jumped at this book. Boy was I right! Amazing read I finished in just few hours. You have possessives shifter male, strong women who keep them in line, and a psycho killer. Love the world building even in a short story Mandy made it feel real. Earth and the bird realm come together flawlessly.

The third installment of the King of Prey series is excellent. Prince Aeson goes to Earth in search of his true mate and was not prepared for what he discovered. This is really turning into an excellent series, each story is as good as the next and leaves me wanting excited to read more. I cannot wait until the next one comes out. Great series, highly recommend reading them in order.

Prince Aeson's search for his mate brings him to his favourite club. He is stunned by his overwhelming need to protect her. Shelby is confused by the fact that although she knows she is in danger she immediatley trusts Aeson. THis is another fantastic story from Mandy M. Roth.

In this story, not only is there an earth woman to woo, there’s a serial killer to stop as well! Arson learns that his mate is on earth and in trouble, so he flies to rescue Shelby. I loved how fast paced and action packed this story was - I didn’t want to put it down! Another great bird shifter book in a terrific series.
This is such a different take on a paranormal romance book… I think it’s fantastic. There is depth.. good banter.. good connection between characters. The author is great at world building… as you read you feel like you are in the story. Highly recommend reading!

A novella about bird shifters which I'm reading as part of a box set.
This involves Prince Aeson who finds his mate, a human who has visions of the future. It's a cute story, but I did have to remind myself it's a novella as it's a quick and cheerful read.
4.5 Stars Once again, Mandy M. Roth works her magic with her classic writing style that provides us with endearing characters and a story line that will keep your attention from start to finish.

Another great book, the storyline is entertaining and filled with action and adventure. The interaction and chemistry between the characters is wonderful. I can't wait for more from this author. I received this book 📚, as a FREE ARC copy to read and I voluntarily leave this review.
I liked the storyline of this book. I liked that Shelby is a seer; that added an extra dynamic and excitement to the story. With a serial killer after Shelby, there is an underlying sense of tension, suspense, and danger. I really liked her. As for Aeson, I didn't like him at all. 3 stars.
An OK quick read by an author I know has done much better work. The story has very little character building, but it does have danger, drama, heat and chemistry. Not my favourite by this talented author.
