This book caught my imagination as a child. To me, the cloud was not only a hero for standing up to the bully, but also because he wanted to help the poor animals on the other side of Mean Mountain. Also, this book is from a time when bad guys still got what they deserved. Everything my 8 year old self wanted in a book!

Little Cloud was curious about what was on the other side of a big mountain. When he floated over to find out, the mountain was mean and ordered him to go away, but Little Cloud peeked over and saw that it was very dry there. The mountain wouldn't let clouds take rain over and the animals on the other side asked for Little Cloud's help. He promised that he would see what he could do and asked his cloud friends to help him. Cute story nicely illustrated.
