NOT JUST ANOTHER SICK DAY. Caitlyn thought it would be just another day at the office, until casual Friday turns into a quarantine that leaves her trapped in the office with her professional nemesis and two colleagues. Intense questioning from the health department turns up more questions than answers, and they are discouraged to speculate. With nothing to do but work, Caitlyn digs in her paperwork, and finds herself caught in the mystery of tangled paperwork that points to mishandling of funds and sneaky activity at their highest ranks. The suspense runs through the office as they dig up hints of a dark secret in their small town. When one colleague disappears, it’s a race against time to figure out what made everybody sick, and what secret the illness was intended to hide.
Most writers use their bio an explanation of who they are and why they write. I’ll make this simple. My name is Sherri Fulmer Moorer. I write because I’ve always loved to do it, and ebooks gave me an opportunity to share those stories with readers that I just couldn’t pass up. The purpose of my writing is to escape reality and experience the adventure of ordinary people dealing with extraordinary circumstances.
I work full time in an administrative job, which is great for keeping me in touch with people and reality and, in turn, inspires to write more. I’m married with two parrots that keep our hearts, home, and lives filled with joy and silliness that most people find strange. I’m a borderline introvert/extrovert who’s kindred spirit, according to online quizzes, is Scooter from The Muppets when the introvert wins, and a Sith Inquisitor when the extrovert wins.

"Quarantine" by Sherri Fulmer Moore is a short but very gripping thriller. A group of unsuspecting nurses begin their Friday shift, still involved in their own lives and personal problems when a mysterious epidemic causes the hospital to be shut down for a Quarantine. As the day progresses and police and medical staff investigate the outbreak the nurses learn that there is more to this story and than the epidemic. Hospital and health politics as well as their own personal rivalries speed up the events in this captivating story with some twists and turns that I did not expect. This is well written and entertaining, especially since the outbreak is described from a nurses' point of view and one that has enough of her own problems, a refreshing approach compared to pseudo-scientific mega dramas that can be found in the genre. I enjoyed the story very much and am sure we will read more of this talented writer.
