Book four in the Supernatural Mates Series

The search for a damaged coyote shifter leads KC into the arms of her sexy brother.

KC thinks Dennis is the sexiest shifter he’s ever met. When the sheriff asks him to help Dennis find his potentially feral sister, sparks fly.

In the middle of hunting down a missing sister, surviving a plane crash and stopping the sheriff from killing Dennis, KC finds that although the search for true love isn’t always smooth it is worth the adventure.

Amber Kell

Amber Kell has made a career out of daydreaming. It has been a lifelong habit she practices diligently as shown by her complete lack of focus on anything not related to her fantasy world building.

When she told her husband what she wanted to do with her life he told her to go have fun.

During those seconds she isn't writing she remembers she has children who humor her with games of 'what if' and let her drag them to foreign lands to gather inspiration. Her youngest confided in her that he wants to write because he longs for a website and an author name—two things apparently necessary to be a proper writer.

Despite her husband's insistence she doesn't drink enough to be a true literary genius she continues to spin stories of people falling happily in love and staying that way.

She is thwarted during the day by a traffic jam of cats on the stairway and a puppy who insists on walks, but she bravely perseveres..

She also writes under the name Mikela Q. Chase

Dennis is a coyote shifter searching for his (maybe) feral sister. KC is a fox shifter sheriff who is helping Dennis. This one had some action: hunting down a missing (possibly psycho) sister, surviving a plane crash, and putting the kibash on Lou beating up Dennis.

This series is pretty formulaic, which is okay. But, again, the story is so underdeveloped that I'm left feeling shortchanged. Plus, some of the tendrils of the story are unresolved. What happened with Dennis' sister's son? And, I thought KC was going to apologize to Lou and James?

Bottom line: ugh.

Dennis, Dennis!
Recomendable.

REVIEWED FOR PRISM BOOK ALLIANCE

Dennis is a Coyote shifter and has not been very popular since arriving at the pride house. His sister is missing and may have gone feral, he lied to his best friend and nearly got him killed and Adrian’s Wolf wants to eat him.

KC works in the sheriff’s office and is a wiz on computer systems. When he offers to help Dennis find his sister there is an instant attraction between the two and they suspect they are mates. This earns Dennis another enemy as Lou is very protective of his assistant. Nothing seems to be going right for the Coyote.

Add in a plane crash and a very angry bear and Dennis must be wondering if his life will ever be calm and peaceful. Not my favourite characters in the series but another light and easy read.

So-so m/m paranormal romance about a coyote shifter trying to find his missing, possibly psychotic sister. This read almost like a story outline, plus it had some continuity issues; for example, the sister's son is fine at the beginning of the story, or is he missing, as at the end of the story (with nothing between the two points about him vanishing)?

Those fast developed short novellas are starting to get pain in the ass for the readers. This story was like many others, boring, without true developed feelings, and good pulling plot.

Another short addition to the series.

I liked KC and Dennis. I felt for Dennis with how outcast he felt due to happenings in the previous books.
I know this series is about shifter but it is really starting to get out there in the storylines

A nice quick read

2012 Review:

Cute little story, if rather hasty.
It’d been a while since the last time I’d read anything from this series, so connecting now without beginning from the top made for a bit of disconnect. Then again that’s partly due to the sketchy writing too.

This wasn’t offensive or anything and it made me laugh, but yeah. No big thrills either. :3

I agree with some of the other reviews, the series is great and the plot line lends itself to longer books. I just wish Amber Kell would develop these small novellas it to more meaty books, as I devour them much to quickly and I feel I have been cheated out of some story line.

I agree with the others who have left reviews...wish it was longer so the story could flow a bit more naturally. Still a fun read, but not my favorite in the series.

Don't know if these are getting worse or I have lost my patience with them.

It just feels like the author put no effort into this one.

OK read, not as good as some of the others in this series. They are all quick reads with an underlying story arc reaching through the books.

I loved this story. Between the plane crash, the unusual mating of a fox and a coyote shifter, and the missing sister, this was one exciting tale!

I think I'm done with this series/author...at least for now. I just didn't care about these characters, and despite the short length, I skimmed a good portion of the book.
