Pitch Out

This book has a central theme of sport and romance which are interlinked togther with out two main characters.

It start off a bit slow for my liking but I got into the book about 30 % of the way through when the story picked up.

It's a slow burn romance (not my favourite trope) I like how the auhtor used the seven deadly sins to encompass the feeling of both the boys.
I enjoyed how the Achiillen realtionship was convey.

Given that June is Pride month, it seemed like good timing to be reading an LGBTQ+ book, although that is just coincidence for me as I love reading about romance and love regardless of the genders involved, and I don’t mind a bit of spice either.
Our two lead characters didn’t start out with the intention of having a relationship. They were just physically attracted to each other and were pretty much instantly lusting after each other. And that was an itch that they both chose to scratch.
However, over time their connection deepened and feelings developed. It was no longer lust, but love that they both felt.
As with most relationships, things don’t often go smoothly and Drew and Jordan experience challenging things that they need to overcome. Do they manage to do that? Well I’m not going to tell you that and spoil the story for you.
This is a sports romance novel and I knew almost nothing about baseball, but there was a really good balance so that the sports element of the storyline wasn’t too overpowering to the other areas of the story.
I found this book easy to read, it was nicely written and it flees well.
I loved Drew and Jordan and felt invested in their story and the outcome for them.
This was a good read that I definitely recommend.
My thanks to the author, the publisher and to LoveBooksTours for gifting me this book. My review is left of my own volition.

I only started reading sports romances recently and I have discovered that I actually quite like them, even though I am not a sporty girl in the least. This sport featured in this one is baseball and so far I haven't read any baseball romances.

I was drawn to the cover straight away I mean who doesnt appreciate a good looking man with his abs out, in fact I spent more time looking at this than I should, but I was also keen to read and review it as it is an LGBTQ+ romance and I am trying to read as many LGBTQ+ books in Pride month so this made a great addition.

This was a well written, quick and easy read with a compelling storyline and well developed characters who I was really rooting for. I LOVED Drew and Jordan and more importantly I LOVED this book, I will definitely be looking for more from the author

I don't normally read sport romance, but this one did appeal to me once I read the blurb. This is a LGBTQ+ book and fits in nicely as this month is "Pride." The book is based around baseball, but don't let that stop you from reading it as it is a story of two people that fall in love. Drew Templeton doesn't have many friend and does feel alone, until the day he sees Jordon Bello. Their relationship starts as lust but become a lot more than that. But life isn't as easy as you might think as Drew and Jordon find out. Have they found the one or is it just lust?
I found this an enjoyable and quick read with a lovely storyline. I will be watching to see if we have a Book 2

The balance in this book was so well done.
Wasn't to much sports talk or to much romance.
It was equal parts and it was such a quick easy read. I didn't even realized I finished in only a few hours!! I loved how well this story was written!! I really hope this turns into a series !!! Thank you again for sharing your talent with the world !!!

This is the first book I've read by this author and I'm sure that I'll be looking out for more.

It was a really easy and quick read - although a standard sized book, I often find that I can whizz through them quickly when I'm enjoying the characters and plot so much.

Apart from the romance here, which is obviously the main story - this book is centred around baseball.
Now I'm quite a newbie to the sport related books but know that they're really popular in this genre and age group.

This was brilliantly done and I didn't feel that there was too much sport here to put off any non-fans - the other storylines were nicely balanced out and interesting.

I loved our main characters and adored following their romance develop. Starting off as just lust, but developing into something deeper as time went on.
There will always be challenges and it was nice to see how the boys worked through these both alone and together.

A really nice read with a good overall plot, well written and developed characters and the potential for a series to follow?
