My 3 kids and I enjoyed reading this book. I think it's a great book for younger readers and for beginner readers. I personally loved the illustrations of the mom. even in the pictures I could feel for her. Lol. I would recommend this book to others.
I remember reading Little Critter as a kid and now it is fun to read them to Zoe. She likes the books and so do I. Cute pictures. Simple words. Not a lot in the way of story but good for beginners.
For a kid that likes Little Critter this is the best thing since sliced bread. This was the first bunch of stories that my step-son read on his own and he read and re-read these over and over. O and I have read these together but hopefully when she gets to the point of independent reading this book will be as good for her.
This is a great book for preschool-aged kids. Three-year-old approved! The stories use simple language and fantastic illustrations to create some hilarious stories. Little Critter doesn't always describe things exactly how they are portrayed in the pictures, and it's fun when kids start to notice the humour in that. My favourite story is definitely "This is my Friend."
I would give it 5 stars, because I really love critter - very nostalgic - but he color on the wall sometimes and wears muddy shoes in the house and such, so while we are reading this book, we like to point out some of the silly choices that he made and what a better choice would be.
Another family favorite. Thanks Grandma for giving this to the girls when they were just learning to read. We all love the pictures and the tone they give to the stories. This book made learning to read fun for all of us.
