Since 1972, he has served as a church-planting pastor in the Dallas area, pastoring three churches personally and helping to launch a number of branch churches (known as the Fellowship Bible Churches). Dr. Getz has authored over 50 books, among them The Measure of a Man, The Measure of a Woman, The Measure of a Church, and the well-known Men of Character Series, featuring Old Testament personalities.

Gene A. Getz, (B.A., Rocky Mountain College; M.A., Wheaton College; Ph.D., New York University), a host and teacher of Renewal Radio, served as a professor at Moody Bible Institute and Dallas Theological Seminary. He has authored more than 60 books, including The Measure of a Healthy Church, Elders and Leaders, and the Men of Character series. He has been a church planting pastor in the Dallas metroplex since 1972 and now serves as President of the Center for Church Renewal and Pastor Emeritus of Fellowship Bible Church North in Plano, Texas.

Love Gene Getz as a pastor and his character. For years, he served at Fellowship Bible Church. Gracious man with his time and talents. I enjoyed this book. Christ encourages and commands us to love one another. Gene makes this message the key ingredient to effective evangelism.
