Popular patternmaker Emily Cier sews up all the colors of the rainbow in her second collection of all-new patterns that include wallhangings and lap quilts. Divided into sections for the little stasher or the big stasher, this book gives separate cutting instructions for working with all scraps, or with all new fabrics. Emily brings a modern aesthetic to patchwork blocks with a joyful jolt of color!
I had this book on my wish-list for quite awhile and was really happy to finally get my own copy. Really pretty scrap quilts! I do wish there were a few more projects in this book, maybe a few smaller things to quilt. Loved the section on how to sort out and organize scraps! Great for a just-started quilter who has some really basic knowledge of rotary cutting, piecing, and quilting.
For a book advertised as being for color lovers, I didn't think it delivered, because most of the quilts used the same color scheme, rainbow order, lights to darks. I did like the section right at the beginning about piecing ideas, and the example of how different one quilt would look if you pieced the blocks differently.

Very fun projects! Loss of small bits, so if I had a stash of scraps I'd find this useful. I liked one of the patterns that could be done with yardage, the one called Hover.
