A witch after his secrets. A werewolf after her pleasure.
Nico Moore is the leader of of The Werewolf Society's elite Royal Guard. Aylia Richardson is the witch who calls to the beast in Nico, but destiny has also made her the keeper of a gift that threatens the very existence of his race. To destroy this gift will destroy this woman...the only one he has ever dared to call 'mate'.
Note: This series is actually a continuation of characters and plotlines from the 'Vampire Warden' series; and is not a true beginning to a new series.

THOUGHTS
Wow, every page kept getting better. My quote from my last review within the vampire warden series of 'Hot Vampire Touch', "Nico is Alpha and an appetizer to what I predict to be another great series by the author; and judging by the epilogue, I can't wait" This story was what I thought it would be, and more, deliciously good. With 'The Vampire Warden' series I felt like I was in vampire heaven. With the 'Werewolf Society' series, it's raining werewolves.
Nico is the alpha male that most readers love to read about. He has Alpha werewolf tendencies that are possessive and sexy, along with oozing dominance around him. Also, what a way to close out this year, with a new series and Nico's story. Aylia was a witch, though powerful in what she does, you sense her vulnerability, especially around Nico. However, once these two came together, their chemistry physically was unbelievable, along with the plot of the story line that will take place throughout the series.
Though this is a start to a new novella series, and depending on the reader, this book probably wouldn't be a stand alone. The reader is thrust into a bit of action within the first few chapters with familiar faces from 'The Vampire Warden’ series. So, I would recommend reading all three books within the series or the last book, 'Hot Vampire Touch' first. We also got to meet Nico's second and third Alphas in command, Kole and Jackson. They sound interesting and you can look forward to their story.
RNJ Rating Storyline: GOOD Intimacy: VERY VERY SPICY Enjoyment: GOOD

Aylia Richardson is a witch that has been helping what is called the Vampire Wardens against some rogue werewolves that has been out trying to destroy the vampires, her coven and also the true werewolf society. Aylia is also trying to deal with the fact that even though a year has past she still isn’t over Nico Moore, the alpha werewolf that is the leader of the Royal Guard of Werewolves. Knowing that they come from two different worlds doesn’t make it any easier to convince her heart that they don’t’ have a future. Now if she can just get her pendant back from Nico she can move on with her life.
Nico Moore may be an alpha in his world but that doesn’t seem to matter to Aylia since she doesn’t always listen to what he says or do what he feels she should be doing. Being away from her has been hell for the past year and now that he has her back in his life he is determined to protect what is his and make sure that she knows exactly where she belongs which is right by his side. Nico is going to have his work cut out for himself as he made some mistakes in the past with Aylia that he has to make up for.
First they are going to have to take care of the obstacles that are in their path so that they can have the future together they both want so badly. There have been traitors that had to be found and taken care of. Now they just have to be sure they have gotten them all because Aylia paid the price the last time there was a traitor and Nico is determined that this time around she will be completely protected.
This is another wonderful story in the series started with the Vampire Wardens. While this one can be read as a stand alone it is much better when read with the first three books. The characters are well written and the reader will find them easy to relate to and enjoyable. The story moves along quickly and keeps the readers attention very well. This one is a must have.
I kind of wanted to read this series in order, although the stories are not related AT ALL. But due to different release dates and who knows what caused them I'm not. So I made a bit of a jump from book # 3 in this collection of short stories to # 6.
I've never read anything by this author before but I know I have some of her books on my never ending TBR and they come highly recommended so I was anxious to try out her writing style. And I have to say I enjoyed it! There was just enough bantering between the main characters and as always for short stories, I like that the hero and heroine had a previous relationship.
So we have Aylia, a witch that used to date a werewolf, Nico. She believes he betrayed her before which is why they are not together now. Also the fact that her coven is cursed and she needs to wear a necklace or she will die by a certain birthday, and he took the necklace.
If you have, like me, an addiction to sexy alpha males, then I can tell you will like Nico. But he's also very sweet and loving when it comes to Aylia, even though she couldn't possibly be his mate because she's a witch.
This story, although short, was entertaining, had some action and plenty of sexyness! I know there's plans to do a story for Kole, Nico's first in command, so I'm looking forward to reading that!
I'm not sure how I feel about this book. I really enjoyed the story while I was reading it, but it seemed like it stopped kind of abruptly. The author created all these obstacles and problems that needed resolving, and in the last chapter everything was fixed with the snap of a finger, by some outside character. Also I was a little confused by all that happened at the end. The whole thing about the permanent solution for her safety. I didn't understand why that couldn't have been the solution all along. I just don't get it. And right there at the end, a bunch more things were brought into the story, so I was really surprised when I turned the page and it sad "The End." Nico got new powers, there were talks of a bigger war he was needed for, he found out he had 3 traitors and you were completely left hanging on what was going on with Kole. What the heck. So like I said, I was really enjoying the book until the end. :(
I realize this is the 6th novella in a series, but all the books were written by different authors and I read the summaries of the books before and after this book and they didn't seem to have anything to do with this one. That is the only reason I read it after realizing it was a series. So maybe I was wrong, maybe I should have started with book 1 for all of this to make sense. I don't know. It's confusing. Whatevs.
Nico and Aylia's Story is an EPIC story!! They are lovers that broke-up!! Nico being an Werewolf and the head ALPHA I should say, while Aylia is a Witch!!! An unlikely pair you would think...NOT!!:)I had previously read "THE VAMPIRE WARDENS" series so this book flowed very easy for me!! I guess if I hadn't read The Vampire Wardens I might be a little confused not knowing the history behind the Characters! So You might as well grab that and read it to!! Wicked Werewolf Night has some very hot steamy erotic scenes, a headstrong feisty witch & a headstrong controlling controlling alpha werewolf!! If you are looking for a long book this isn't for you, but if you want a quick enjoyable read this is it!!
Loved it! It was short but had a lot of depth. Nico and Aylia come from completely different backgrounds. Nico is not only a werewolf but the Alpha. Aylia is a witch with a curse, and needs a necklace to stay alive beyond her 26th birthday. When she gained access to his territory over a year ago to help out with a certain situation, they were together for 6 months. However, Nico sent her away, accusing her of ruining matters regarding a spell.
Now, over a year later they meet again, with Aylia’s hate feelings being the dominant in her love/hate feelings against Nico when she finds out he had her necklace despite knowing she could die without it. Even so, she helps him and his family upon an attack during this meeting.
Nico “requests” a meeting with her later, playing on her trust and feelings afterwards…though it seems this betrayal from his part might actually be something else.
Great combination of the romance and the paranormal! Loved it!
An utterly confusing beginning and although I understood more as the story unfolded it's blindingly obvious this is a spin-off of the author's Vampire Wardens series released last year. As this was my first book by Jones the events, characters and romance in this shorty didn't mean anything to me and the story wasn't long enough for me to care about them either.
I'm confused by this book. It just starts like I was supposed to know the characters and the world because it had no introduction, it felt like I started a book in the middle and only read a few pages. I did like the idea of what I read however maybe if listen to books 2 & 3 it might feel like a complete book.
I enjoyed the book, but not nearly as much as her vampire wardens. I will read her next werewolf Kole. And decide after that. But I will recommend the series.
Wicked Werewolf Night by Lisa Renee Jones is a fast, erotic read. It is tied to a different series, though, so I am afraid that I spent most of the time in the dark. I will have to check out the other series.
WICKED WEREWOLF NIGHT (WEREWOLF SOCIETY #1) by Lisa Renee Jones
WICKED WEREWOLF NIGHT is the premiere novel (Nov 2011) in Lisa Renee Jones' Werewolf Society series. The Werewolf Society is a spinoff of Lisa's Vampire Warden series.
Ailya Richardson is a witch in love with an alpha male-a true alpha wolf Nico Moore, but Ailya had been cast aside one year earlier. When a spell she used to help the vampires and werewolves went horribly wrong, Ailya was cast aside by Nico and left alone to fight the demons she had created with her witch spell. And now it was time to make things right. Called in to remove a binding spell from vampire Warden Troy, Ailya knew this was only the first of many apologies she would have to perform to slowly repair the tepid truce between the wolves and the witches. What she didn't expect was to find Nico present, wearing the witches medallion that would save her life. With only 6 months before until her next birthday and inevitable death, Ailya needed to get possession of her medallion before someone else discovers the family secret and her life was no more.
Nico Moore was the alpha wolf of his pack. Never mated, he knew that Ailya was his. But wolves could only claim wolves as their true mates with both the binding rituals and mate marks. The lore would not stand in Nico's way. And knowing the love of his life believed he betrayed her and left her to die only added to his guilt and shame. But his rejection was necessary to save her life. If he had continued to see Ailya and claim her as his own, she would be dead or worse. He sent her away for her own protection. Now he must once again betray her for her own protection. And now that one of the biggest threats to Ailya's life was dead, Nico proceeded to put his plans in motion.
Ailya could never resist Nico's charms. Their attraction was palpable and Nico's pack knew that the witch and the wolf would one day be together-forever. Claiming be damned, they knew Nico would never give up where Ailya was concerned and this made for some bitter enemies among the pack, and both Nico and Ailya had to find the person(s) responsible for betraying the pack. It was only when Ailya's heath took a turn that jealousy would rear its' ugly head and put Ailya's life in danger, once again.
With one betrayer eliminated, Nico and Ailya made plans for their future, that would not included more than just the two of them. And Marcus would bring them a weeding gift that even Ailya's magic could not match.
WICKED WEREWOLF NIGHT is a great start to Lisa's Werewolf Society series. As a companion and spin-off to her Vampire Warden series, Lisa thankfully included much of the premise information from one of her previous novels where Ailya and Nico ran into trouble. Without this background info, I believe the new reader to the series would have been confused. I am one reader who is always pleased when an author includes pertinent information from the series and previous novels. Looking forward to Lisa's next instalment in her Werewolf Society series-Wicked Werewolf Secret (May 2012).
This was more of a novella that bridges the Werewolf Society books and the Vampire Wardens. It is also a “steamy” read, so if you’re not into stories with sex scenes, this is not a story for you. It was an interesting story involving a witch, Aylia, who is in love with a werewolf, Nico. Nico also happens to be a member of the Werewolf Society’s Royal Guard. Talk about star-crossed lovers, these are “species” crossed lovers. Aylia and Nico have had a “falling out” and Aylia believes that Nico never loved her or at the least fell “out of love” with her. She is drawn into a “civil war” of sorts when one of the Vampire Wardens, Troy, has chosen a female werewolf as his mate and another of the wolves, in league with rebel wolves, has infected Troy with a bad magic and Aylia is there to try and “bind” that magic, so that Troy can control it. In assisting the Wardens she is also reunited with Nico. Can they figure out who the rebels are and if there is one in the midst of the Royal Guard that helped to steal/use the magic in the first place. A good story, I would have liked a little more detail, but that’s probably because I haven’t read any of the other books. This was my first foray into either of the series.
WICKED WEREWOLF NIGHT:ALLURING TALES:NIGHT MOVES(WEREWOLF SOCIETY) by Lisa Renee Jones is an exciting paranoarmal romance with a Werewolf Society Book that is connected to the "Vampire Wardens". A story of a sexy werewolf and a sexy witch, their romance, danger, secrets, and the love that may develop when a witch dares to call to be the "mate" of a werewolf. "Wicked Werewolf Night" is the story of Nico Moore, the sexy werewolf, who is the leader of a elite Royal Guard of the Werewolf Society and Aylia Richardson, a witch with a secret and a gift that could destroy the way of life for the werewolf race,as well as Aylia. Is is fast paced, a quick read that will leave you in awe. "Wicked Werewolf Night" has strong characters, steamy passion, werewolves, witches, and a way of life threatened. The plot is well written with details with some kick butt action and passionate scenes. A must read for any reader who enjoy not only paranormal, fantasy, but also a wonderful love story with a twist. Received for an honest review from the author. Details can be found at the author's website and My Book Addiction Reviews/My Book Addiction and More.
You meet Nico and Aylia in the previous Vampire Warden series.
This novella held its own against the 3 Vampire Warden novella's
I was so glad Lisa Renee Jones continued with this wonderful world she created.
Nico, a headstrong alpha wolf who wants to be in control of everything including Aylia.
Aylia, a beautiful witch. Not realizing it but soon knows that her life will be forever changed.
The passion and emotion was very hot between the 2 of them.
Nico and Aylia's story was awesome. This book brings us farther into the world of vampires, were wolves and witches. Making you want to read more and more.
I suggest reading the first 3 vampire warden novella's if you want to get the best out of this novella.
This was a fantastic read and I’m looking forward to the next one.
A quick low action story. I’d give it a 2.5. Nico is Cassie’s (from Vampire Warden Book #3) brother and leader of the Werewolf Royal Guard. The story picks up from the end of Vampire Warden Book #3 but from Nico & Aylia’s POV. Obvious from their meeting they’ve met before & Nico needs to speak with the very upset Aylia… they didn’t part ways well the last they saw each other. A cute “love” story but I felt like the “fix’ at the end came out of NO WHERE. Felt odd? Fake? Like...
But now this is book #4 I’m reading….so I'll continue onto Wicked Werewolf Secret book #5 anyway.
This was a novella... Which I guess I didn't' realize when I downloaded it. It hit the ground running and it took me quite a few pages to sort out what was happening. I wished it had ramped up a little so I could get the ground under my feet.
It wasn't bad for a quick little story about two people who just aren't meant to be coming together. Nico is a typical alpha male and Aylia the typical independent female. I liked them well enough but didn't think this was any more than 2.5 stars, but I can't do that so 3 it is.
The story managed to wrap itself up in the end a lot better than it began. If you need a quick 30 minute read on your lunch break to escape the dull and dreary life that the office can be, this would fit the bill.
This is the first book in the spin off to Lisa's Vampire Warden series, although it can be read as a stand alone I highly recommend reading them first :)
We begin this tale with the events at the end of Book 3 in the Vampire Warden series, Hot Vampire Touch, but we see events from Aylia's POV adding a whole new dimension to what I thought was going. Nico, a werewolf and Aylia, a witch shouldn't be together but they can't seem to be apart either. Secret's are being kept on both sides, will they overcome them an be tgether?
I love this world, seriously! This short will feature in an Alluring Tales antholgy later this year.
"Werewolf Society" continues with some of the same characters from LRJ's Vampire Wardens series (which I LOVED) and while I was anxious for Nico & Aylia's story, it just didn't grab me like the previous books. I did enjoy it, Nico was an Alpha Werewolf dream and while I liked what little of Aylia that I glimpsed from the previous series, I just didn't care so much for her in this one. She seemed rather whiny and just irritated me. It still was a good read just not great
Wow what a great story... it definitely left me wanting more! Loved the romanticness (if that's even a word lol) of it, the erotic scenes were great and very descriptive (believe me you will picture it in your mind), I loved the story and the characters. Great story I would definitely recommend it, although it was a short story. Lisa Renee Jones should definitely continue this story it was definitely a tease, but a rather enjoyable one! There's only one bad thing I have to say about it is that it gave you such a great story, but ended so abruptly it leaves you wanting more...
I've been kind of burnt out on the whole werewolf/vampire world, so I was a little reluctant to read this one. But I've really liked other books by this author and saw it was such a short read, more a novella than a novel, I'd give it a shot. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed it. I felt a little lost at first, but quickly got into the story. Ms. Jones really knows how to write characters and moments that just grab you by the heartstrings. The only downside was just as I was getting into it, it was over! I'm looking forward to reading book 2.
One word sums up wicked werewolf night...HOT!!!!!! Yep this book is hot, hot, hot!....maybe it's all that leather, maybe the sex, maybe the werewolves or that sexy little minx witch aylia or maybe just maybe it's the ever so sexy Smoldering Alpha Nico!...who looks like sex it's self. This Johnny Depp lookalike is yummy in all that leather it made me melt like butter.
This book is listed as the first in a series but it seems like it is a spin off from another series. There is very little explaination as to what is going on. I feel like I'm missing all the backstory and motivation for these characters. I am going to have to do some research and see if there is another story that is in front of this. I am going to put it back on the "to read" shelf until I can figure out what is going on.
