Draven has come to his lake house to get some long overdue rest. What he does not count on is meeting his mate. Wyatt has come to the lake to take a holiday. An unexpected problem has him stranded in the lake right outside Draven’s house. One whiff and Draven is a goner. How will he ever tell Wyatt just what he is as well as explaining that they are mates? Can Draven gain his trust before an ex-pack member comes sniffing around or will he loose Wyatt before he has a chance?

I loved the intensity of the emotions in this book. Draven is man who has lived his life with honor and pride. He has always done what was right, which has not always set well with others who do not care about honor. Watching him try to deal with Rick and his interference with his mate was a good read.

Wyatt may be a mortal but that does not make him less of a man. He is a strong man who is more than ready to fight for what he wants, and what he wants is Draven. It was nice to see the spark between these two turn into something more as the story progressed. Draven and Wyatt are a great couple. Both men care deeply for the other and are not afraid to show it. The love that they share quickly becomes apparent as the story goes on. Draven needs a strong man like Wyatt to stand at his side and fight along with him.

I was so engrossed with this story that I read it in one sitting. The author takes the reader for a wonderful ride into the world of werewolves and their mates. I enjoyed my time in this world and will gladly return with the next book.

This book left me wanting so much more. When the couple meets each other it is really hard to understand the attraction. Werewolves mate fast. We all know that. The need for their mate is supposed to be overwhelming but not to the point where they might hurt their mate. I like that about werewolves. This story really tried really hard to get me to believe that for these characters. But it fell a little flat for me. The human wants to wait. Ok. He's not a werewolf and doesn't understand. Ok. But when the big moment finally comes... I think I was expecting to be overwhelmed... like I was told to wait for something and wanted it to be all the more awesome when it finally happened. The anticipation was supposed to make it better. It didn't. It made me feel cheated. All this is trying to ignore the really cheesy dialogue and two dimensional characters. A character is supposed to grow. That's what makes characters we love and want to read again and again. A werewolf simply getting a mate isn't growth. Saving the mate from death isn't growth. It is supposed to be a catalyst for growth- not the growth itself. Which is why so many stories are plot based- it's easier to write. I didn't see the growth here. I may be wrong in this. If you think so, comment below and let me know where you think the growth is. I will take another look at the story. I promise.

Marisa Chenery’s Werewolf Claimed is a very good shifter book, with the added feature that it is a m/m romance. Shifter books are the only exception I can make (to myself) for my dislike of the love-at-first-sight trope, and that is because so many authors have built on the canon that most shifters recognize their mates by scent or other attribute, and so it is in Werewolf Claimed.
Werewolf Claimed is up to Ms Chenery’s usual standards, which are high, and this book did not disappoint. I enjoyed this episode of the Big City Pack series and look forward to the next installment.

An OK read for me...since this is just 1 m/m book in a series where the rest are m/f, it was hard to get to know the characters and the world that the one m/m story took place in since I haven't read the other books, and the characters were probably in previous books.
