A wonderful selection of John's writing, covering his earlier radio work through to shorter prose pieces and his now famous interviews and some more experimental works (such as reinventing most established poets as Australian writers).

Something for everyone, but I would urge readers to persist with even things they hadn't been expecting (the poetry gave me pause and I had to have a few runs at it, but I'm glad I persisted)

These writings may be 20-40 years old, many referring to events prior to my birth, but they're as fresh and as funny as ever. What a legend. I was so glad to find this at the library!
John Clarke had such a way with words and a playful sense of logic. Satire at its finest - exposing the world for how it really is. Who else could make interest rates, Telecom, or TAA so interesting and funny?
