For author Brenda George, life was good. She and her husband were planning their daughter's wedding, buying a new sports car, and planning a much-needed vacation, things couldn't have been better...until cancer rudely invaded her life. She was having the time of her life ... until cancer rudely invaded her life. That one word changed everything! Have you or someone you know been diagnosed with cancer? Rejoicing through the Tears has been written with you in mind. You can learn not only to survive, but to thrive. You can come through your wilderness journey of cancer and let God turn your mourning into dancing. No matter what challenges you may be facing, you can learn to embrace the hand of a loving God. He will walk with you whether you are up on the mountaintop or down in the valley; you will learn to rejoice wherever you are, because what you are rejoicing with is heartfelt joy from deep within. Your faith will be ignited, and you will be encouraged. You will learn to live each day with passion and enthusiasm. Let the God who flung the stars into space walk into your storm, refresh your soul, and bring you streams in the desert.
In Rejoicing Through The Tears, author Brenda George shares her personal journey of surviving Thyroid Cancer. In a thoughtful style, Brenda provides an inspirational testimonial that provides the reader with a wealth of helpful insight and a desire to offer hope, understanding, and encouragement to anyone who is going through any form of cancer.
Brenda breaks down her journey into four parts: - Part 1: My Life Before The Diagnosis - Part 2: My Experience With Thyroid Cancer - Part 3: There Is Life After A Cancer Diagnosis - Part 4: Helpful Resource Information For Thyroid Cancer Patients, Families, and Caregivers
In each of the four parts of her journey, Brenda provides a sobering but uplifting story of her life before and after the cancer diagnosis, and how through her faith and trust in God, she learned to rejoice through the tears and struggles, became stronger than ever, and learned that there can still be a rewarding life to live after a cancer diagnosis, that it doesn't always have to mean the end.
With a mixture of strength, courage, faith, and grace, Brenda provides an encouraging message that you don't have to walk alone on your journey. Take comfort in the knowledge that God walks with you, and will carry you in his loving arms when you most need it. Most of all, Brenda provides nuggets of wisdom from her personal experience, and encourages people to keep a healthy and positive attitude while going through their own journey with a sheer determination to keep fighting no matter what challenges they may face with a renewed hope towards recovery.
Throughout Rejoicing Through The Tears, Brenda provides the reader with a wonderful collage of pictures of her family, and inspirational Scripture passages at the end of each chapter to inspire and ignite your faith. I would be remiss if I didn't mention the wonderful description and pictures of her family vacation to Mackinac Island, Michigan. She easily transports the reader to this picturesque island and the stately Grand Hotel, that was featured in the delightful 1979 movie Somewhere In Time with Christopher Reeves and Jane Seymour.
The most important message that I took away from reading Brenda's inspirational and uplifting journey is the realization of how precious life truly is, how quickly it can pass by, never take another day for granted, and learn to rejoice and embrace your life every day, no matter what challenges may come your way!
