This daily reader comes in three volumes: I, II, and a third that combines the best of both in a single volume. I have read and re-read all three because they affirm that Quiet Times do, in fact, make it possible to hear from Heaven. They also seem to intersect with the Steps and Slogans of 12-step recovery. For example, how the slogan "Live and Let Live" exuded from a reading in which God said, “Let them rest who hate you.” They also align with the BIBLE exhorting Christians to shake off the dust and depart from deafened minds and blinded hearts. These bite-sized readings have helped me develop the discipline of starting each day in Quiet where I can hear the still, small voice of God before the hurly-burly busy-ness begins. I now realize that if I’m too busy to have coffee with Jesus, then I’m too busy!
