Sennett was one of the first to write on screwball comedies, but better books (like The Runaway Bride and Canned Goods as Caviar) are available.

This would have been more interesting back in 1973 when films couldn't be streamed or rented or bought on DVD. It's mostly lots of reviews of films, with very little depth or analysis (compared to, say, James Harvey's excellent Romantic Comedy in Hollywood). And some of the movies don't qualify as screwball or rom-com. Good for possibly making picks for a movie night, but Harvey would be the place to go for this topic.
