This was somehow too deep, and not deep enough for a novella.
Like. Why, in some places did it give me the same vibe of bad acting that pornos with a ‘story’ have?
I. I don’t think this was ‘bad’ per se…but. I also don’t think I liked it?

It had a weird tone.
I don’t know.
It just wasn’t for me I guess. Which sorta sucks.

Amber (h24) reaches out to Kane (H44), who founded the Rugged Mountain MC with her father and her years long crush, when her fiancé becomes abusive towards her. Kane rides in on his Harley to the rescue and when he has to share a hotel room with Amber, things begin to heat up between the two. But their happiness is short lived when her father, Diesel, shows up and Kane is going to have to choose his future. Hot and steamy age gap, MC-lite romance quickie with plenty of heat and a side of relationship angst.

Dad's best friend

Kane has been EST Friends with Diesel for over 30 years so it's quite a shock that he is love with his daughter Amber.

Amber has been hurt by Jed and reaches out to the one man she wished she could have, Kane.

He comes to the rescue and a pit stop at a motel leads to trouble, not between them but with Diesel.

This is my first Khloe Summers book and I’ll definitely read more. Amber and Kane are so cute together once they finally admit that they’ve loved each other for years. Their only obstacle then is Amber’s father, who’s been best friends with Kane for 30 years and is none too pleased to find them together. Kane is sweet, sexy and just the right amount of possessive.

The only thing that struck me as odd is Jed’s insistence that Amber “gave as good as she got,” which made me wonder whether she was defending herself from him or was herself abusive. I imagine it was the former, but it was never really explained. Usually, you’d expect the other person to clarify by saying I was defending myself but she doesn’t say anything either time Jed makes the claim. It’s really not a big deal, just something that struck me as odd.

I loved Kane and Amber’s story! Absolutely everything about it was great. The age gap, and the dad’s best friends tropes were my favorite. I enjoyed both characters, especially Amber. She was young, a virgin, but she knew exactly what she wanted. She was by no means afraid to let Kane know it too!

Amber is a young curvy girl and daughter of Diesel, one of the founders of the local MC Club. Kane is the older, hot biker who happens to be Diesel's best friend and co-founder of the club. Kane has had feelings for Amber for quite some time but has resisted due to her father and their age gap. Amber has always had a crush on Kane. When Amber finds herself in a bad relationship, she calls Kane for help. He comes to her rescue. The two end up together for the night and finally admit their feelings but what will happen when Amber's Dad finds out? As usual, Khloe delivers a super hot romance with a great HEA. I definitely recommend. I can not wait to read Diesel's book next!!.

Ms. Summers has taken two of my loves - mountain men and MC men and melded them into one. This story kicks off a new series about an MC that's based on Rugged Mountain. They are tatted, big and burly, and love their women fiercely. This one starts out with a bang when the two co-founders of the MC butt heads over Amber. Kane loves her but Diesel is her father, and they are best friends. So Kane's loving Amber is going to be a problem. It's a quick and steamy tale that leaves you wanting more from these men. Can't wait to journey through this series - I just know it's going to be as good as the rest of the Rugged Mountain series have been.

Kane and Amber's story is the first book in the series and does not disappoint.

Amber was determined to leave her hometown that she ignored all the warns about the guy she was with. Now it's been a year later, and she is desperately trying to get away.

Kane has known Amber since she was a kid and is her dad's best friend. Watching her grow up, he soon realized his feeling for her has grown too. When Amber's fiancée call Kane to ask him questions, he realizes it is time to act.

This is a fast age gap story that pulls you in fast and keeps with each turn of the page.

I loved Riding Rough: Rugged Mountain MC. I love any story associated with Rugged Mountain. This time we have Kane and Amber. He’s her fathers best friend, she’s escaping an abusive relationship. She’s always wanted him, he’s always wanted her. This was a sweet story. Kane will do anything to protect Amber but can these two have a future when her father finds out? Great storyline, I love how all of the Rugged Mountain stories blend together and the characters connect. A little bit of drama and a lot of hot and steamy. I would definitely recommend this book and I can’t wait for Diesel’s story.

This was a dads best friend age gap romance told in DPOV.

Amber is in a crappy relationship with lots of bad life decisions. Kane gets a call and is there to help, how can he not when he has always had feelings for her. Neither should feel this way. How is her dad going to feel. It can’t be wrong if it feels right.

I love short stories especially when the guy would do anything for his girl. This was a sweet quick read with a HEA.

Kane has had a thing for his best friend's daughter for a long time but never acted on it. When she moves away and lands with Jed who once lived in their town, she finds out that all that glitters isn't gold. When he abuses her one time too many, she calls Kane who comes to her rescue. It will open up their eyes to see that they are a perfect match, but will her father see that without causing harm to his best friend. This story kept me glued to the pages.

This is a fab series opener of a spin off for the Rugged Mountain series. Kane, an older MC guy that Amber has crushed on for years...but didn't act on that crush because of his age and his relationship to her father. Well, now she's trapped in an abusive relationship and Kane is the one she knows will help her. He's beyond stoked to be her knight and rides in to save her...only to find his feelings for her are just as strong now as they were before. I loved these two together and how they achieved their HEA. Can't wait for more :D

You can't help who you love

Riding Rough is the first book in the Rugged Mountain MC series. This series is a spin-off of the other Rugged Mountain based series and is somewhat intertwined. The is an age-gap, best friend's daughter/father's best friend, sexy, forbidden love romance. The story does deal with an abusive relationship but it is not explicit. I enjoyed this fast-paced, sweet, sexy, romantic, and emotional story about Amber and Kane. I am looking forward to reading the rest of the books and getting to know the men of Rugged Mountain MC.

Kane has been in love with Amber his best friend's daughter for years so when he got a call from her that she needed his help Kane didn't hesitate. Amber has loved Kane for years but she didn't want to cause problems between him and her father so she tried to move on only to end up in an abusive relationship. This is a steamy age gap romance with likable characters, and a happily ever after. Riding Rough is book one and a great start to the Rugged Mountain MC series. Kane and Amber make such a great couple. I love how they are together, how they fight to be together and how much they love each other. It’s nice to read a light MC story, without too much violence or criminal activities. This is a great start to the Rugged Mountain MC series and I can’t wait to read the next book.

In this book we meet Amber & Kane. Amber needs help but she doesn't want to tell anyone she needs help. Kane has wanted Amber for as long as he can remember. now that he sees her again can they find the HEA or will others make sure that never happens?

Another amazing story by this author. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

This is an older man younger woman romance. Kane is in an MC with Amber's father. Each has been in love with the ither but with him being ilder and her father's best friend neither has told the other or even talked about it. That is all about to change when Kane rescues her from her abusive ex. What will happen? Sit back and enjoy this short romance.

Kane is not giving up, although he knows his best friend will never accept their relationship he can’t let Amber go.

What a read!
I don't really write reviews but I just preordered this entire series
If you love curvy girl romance Summers is your author. She gives you the HEA (happy ever after) without a fail, but lures you in with the hot steamy romance and the intense drama. Its a perfect read to wind down from a busy day.

The start of a new series by Khloe Summers. I have read the Rugged Mountain Ink and other series by her and enjoyed them all. I can't wait to read this series also. These stories are short, sweet and romantic with a HEA for all. And since they are all set in the same area, it's like all the characters are family.

I loved seeing how strong Amber was, despite being abused. That’s not usually the reality. And I loved how she stood her ground when confessing her love for Kane. And loved Kane for following his heart even when he wasn’t sure his long time friendship with Diesel would survive his love for Amber.

Timing ~

A very interesting read. There was a lot of information on her horrible relationship, but when that ended, she jumped right into another. The next one had its issues too, but there was love there, and love always wins. The story jumped to the epilogue, that didn’t quite make sense.

I loved Kane and Amber's story. Amber is engaged to a !an named Jed. She has run back to Rugged Mountain. Kane is her daddy's best friend but the only place she feels safe. When she goes back to Jed. Kane will stop at nothing to make sure she is ok and happy. What he doesn't know is she wants him. No matter what she has to give up.

Nice Read

This was a new author for me. It was a nice read. It was Kane and Amber’s story. He is her father’s best friend that is at least twenty years older than her. Looking forward to reading more books from this author
