OUTDATED! On pg.189 it suggests the use of two condoms (double bagging) or even triple, if one of the parties has an sti.
This is a scary suggestion that's spreading misinformation and it is unacceptable to find it today in a book about being safe.
I thought i came across some good advice too, but after the condom thing I'd prefer not to take any safety tips from this book. It was probably ahead of its time in '93 when it was published, but now it's criminally outdated.

This is a great book for newcomers to BDSM and players who have been at it for a while. The authors give you clear comments on safe play, some of the psychological aspects of play and ensuring everything is safe, sane and consensual. Straight forward, well-written and useful. A must have for the serious and casual player alike.
