A vampire hunter has his sights on Anne Perrin, threatening to unleash the very evil she and her friends are fighting to contain.

Robbing Anne of her pulse hasn’t stopped her from living un-life to its fullest: she’s balancing two relationships, has returned to her waitress job, and is trying her best to not eat her customers. But Calum sees through her disguise, and no amount of charm can dissuade him from eradicating Anne and everyone like her from the face of the Earth.

While Charlie is out of the country seeking help from the one person who might be able to save his life, Anne is abducted, leaving the rest of the Z-Tech crew with the desperate task of finding her before the vampire hunters finish her off — or a grief-stricken Zima destroys the city looking for her lost love.

But Anne’s abduction could be just the first part of a larger, darker plan that may unwittingly unleash the very plague Calum seeks to prevent.

Imagine being a vampire who is constantly hungry, working full time, fighting evil, balancing two relationships, and being hunted by vampire hunters in between it all. And you thought your plate was full? - Such is the current life of Anne Perrin.

I won't give anymore detail than that for my summary. Since this is Book 2, I don’t want to give anything away, and y’all can read the book synopsis yourselves.

This book was so good! The action scenes are engaging. I appreciate that the author doesn’t have any helpless damsels in distress in his story. Nothing but badass self sufficient sassy & sometimes sarcastic women! The guys are pretty tough too!

We get to know some of the main characters a little bit more in this book. I loved getting more details on Cappa and Dela.

Heck, even the vampire hunters are pretty intriguing. But, I’m going to let you discover the specifics for yourself.

Bottom line. Read this book. - If you haven’t already, read the first one Angels In The Mist. Then read this book. It’s worth it. 🙂

Recommended for fans of Urban Fantasy, those that enjoy vampires, cyborgs, tech, action, badass women, dry humor, & tough supportive dudes.

This book was awesome! Science Fiction, Fantasy, Vampires and a good hint of Romance, pulls this whole book into one fantastic read. Not shy on surprises or suspense, there are some nail biting scenes. Then there is the romance between a vampire and a cyborg robot who is more human then some humans. The storyline is fantastic and keeps you wanting more with the turn of each page. I can’t wait to read book 3 and see what happens next.

Ryan brilliantly expanded on his story and this was even better than the first book. The clever way he introduces new characters and the continuity of their development is refreshing, and I was blown away by his knowledge of computer systems and how they would function in an android. Without giving away spoilers, and entire fight scene takes only moments from a watcher's perspective, but is so nuanced and engaging I laughed out loud when I realized what he'd done. Excellent!
