He’s ten years older than me. He’s my brother’s best friend. I’ve love/hated him for years, ever since he found the collection of very dirty stories I had written back when I was in high school. Stories that were very clearly about him and I.
These are all great reasons why I should not have agreed to be Noah’s fake girlfriend, to help him secure a promotion. But it’s only for a weekend, right? And it’s not like I have to marry the guy…
I thought it would get better, continued reading spoiler alert it didn’t. Yes this was a novella but it lacked depth, plot the interactions with the MMC’s felt forced for the sake of the plot. Also what POS brother knows his friend is lying to his sister and using her for something else then reminds him it’s all for the money and then is magically okay with MMC professing his love for her? I was really looking forward to this series as the first book was so good.
Dnf. Both MCs say there’s an attraction but it’s not felt at all. Also he’s trying to make it on his own but needs to trick his grandfather into getting his money. What about that is “making his own way”? He’s supposed to be a billionaire and businessman or whatever but he’s broke. She’s being paid a thousand dollars to be a pretend gf for the weekend. But seriously a thousand dollars from a billionaire? I couldn’t finish it.
Really icked out by how much the FMC says "please don't touch or kiss me (again)" and "these are my boundaries," verbally, out loud, repeatedly. And the MMC keeps touching and kissing her and blatantly ignoring her boundaries. It ain't cute.
First book was the best of the series. I didn’t love the MMC. & it also didn’t make sense how they’ve known each other their whole life but nobody knew who she was. Maybe because of the age gap but still
Quick, spicy, brothers best friend age gap. Brother and best friend plan to pay sister off to pretend to be the girlfriend so he can get him inheritance. They end up falling in love
DNF after 70%. I love this author's previous books. But this one is so bad that I'm convinced someone else wrote it. The hero is insufferable and a total jerk (he even calls the heroine a bitch at one point), but this is a romance? I would've kept going just to see how it ends, but it was hard to read with all the mistreatment of the heroine.
