This is not just another book about dog training. This is a complete manual that encompasses how dogs learn, think and communicate to how to completely train your dog in as little as six weeks from beginning to end. Common behavior problems along with effective remedies are also addressed. No frills, no fluff and no nonsense! Just real training methodology that actually works in the real world on real dogs. From working K9 to the family pet, Haz takes the reader through the training step by step and makes the process easy to understand and implement.
The book was great, Haz wrote in a conversational manner that made the book very easy to read and understand. He included QR codes for almost everything so you could read, then watch how it was done. I plan on recommending the book to family and friends who have dogs.
This book is written and formatted like a grade school student wrote it. It may have also been edited by a grade school student as I found several spelling and grammar errors. (The copyright page says, “Edited by TBA.”) He repeatedly says “more on that later”, but never gets around to explaining the topics more in depth. The information feels all over the place and repetitive at the same time. At one point, he compares training a dog to teaching a ‘crack head’ math… Besides the poor execution of the book itself, I do not agree with the use of force/physical punishment when training. I wanted to be open minded, but the author’s arrogant tone when trying to justify his stance didn’t help. It feels like the author has dogs just to have something to control and be dominant over, not to have a pet for companionship.
Great resource. The title says it all: this book gets right to the point. Haz breaks everything down into easy to understand steps, with QR codes to demonstration videos. Loved it!
