Its always super exciting to read old astronomy and space science books. This one was published in 1956, Sputnik wasn't even launched yet let alone our first man in space Yuri Gagarin was still 5 years away. The theories talked about in this book are extremely interesting, some obviously are correct while others were way off their mark. One of my favorite parts in this book is when they talk about Wernher Von Brauns experimental rocket glider for reentry from space missions, it describes to a tee the way the space shuttle basically works. Its just so amazing to read about things like that in these old books and quite literally travel back in time knowing what the future holds. Very good read.
