Excellent story

I read this one quite fast! I loved the first book and this one was just as good. The story began with a woman's murder in the snow. Evelyn, the heroine, votes to a cemetery to get her psychic ability back and meets Nicoletta, the dead woman, and Stefano, her very alive husband. He wants to know who killed his wife too. There is a lot of stuff happening in her, and I mean a lot of stuff. There's kidnappings, possessions, the mafia, another murder, and assassins. Oh and lots of ghosts too. I really enjoy this style of writing. I like Leo, Evelyns' lover, and I love the otherworldly visitors she comes into contact with. I really loved the epilogue too. I don't want to spoil the story because its such a great ride. I really want to find a gallery like hers someday! I love ghost stories and angels and this one is just dynamic. I can't wait for the next story.

Lady in the Lake?”

Well the first book in this series was definitely not a fluke because this one was even better.

"Fantasma!"

Ghost , danger , a huge mystery and an enduring love story.

Leo is finally a believer. His logical detective mind doesn’t understand her gift but he knows it’s the truth. After a chance meeting in the cemetery she has with one of his childhood friends triggers her psychic gift that has been dormant he’s not a happy camper.

She had willingly put her life on the line to stop a serial killer, but that didn’t make her a sworn officer of the law.

Evelyn on the other had has a compulsion to help the dead. Was it a chance meeting or a calculated attempt to exploit her powers.

I was the ghost girl. Evelyn Sinclair, the edgy artist of Halsted. The spooky lady who communicated with the dead through her art.

As they visited his friends haunted lake house crazy things start happening. Just when you think you know the ending your in for a shocking surprise.

Artist Evelyn Sinclair and Detective Leo Ricci join forces to uncover a crime that happened six months prior. Oh boy, does this enquiry become entangled and exciting at the same time.

I absolutely loved the two lead characters, Evelyn and Leo. They are absolutely beautiful together as a couple and complement each other so well. It’s not every day that you meet someone who is gifted spiritually and artistically talented too. The fact Leo accepts Evelyn and believes in her inherently, is wonderful and is one of the key elements to the success of their relationship.

In this mystery, Evelyn gets involved with some unsavoury characters, but just who is truly evil and who isn’t in this group is not something you find out till the very end—and I loved it! This created such great suspense, excitement and intrigue. It also made for some nail-biting moments too. 🤣 What I did find interesting, and took me completely by surprise, was how emotional I became at one point. I think this speaks volumes about how well written this story is; how invested you get in it.

This is the first book by this author that I have read but it definitely won’t be the last, I am excited to read the first book in this series and previous ones as well.

If you thought Drawn to Death, the first book in this series was good then sit back and prepare to be amazed with Drawn to the Mafia, the latest paranormal romantic suspense from Kat Shehata where the dead demand justice using artist Evelyn Sinclair and her disturbing ability to communicate with spirits as a conduit with the assistance of her lover, Detective Leo Ricci. When a seemingly chance encounter in a cemetery triggers a ghostly visitation for Evelyn this soon leads to a new case for this her and Leo but not everything should be taken at face value. In a gripping story full of danger and suspense and laden with twists and turns and mafia involvement, this book kept me on edge throughout set against an atmospheric setting of a remote haunted lake house complete with a lady in the lake mystery before reaching a dramatic conclusion.

I was a bit worried about how this book would work once Leo had got over his initial scepticism about Evelyn’s psychic talents. I thought it might’ve got a bit gimmicky but I shouldn’t have worried. Leo’s acceptance just adds to their relationship and makes their partnership stronger. Their chemistry has always been steamy from the first time they met but now there is a new dimension to their relationship. I cannot wait for the next book in this series.

A thrilling, suspenseful, murder mystery. A must read! As the plot thickened the more engrossed I became. I didn’t want to put it down.

I loved Evelyn and Leo in Drawn to Death; they don’t disappoint in this book. Their chemistry and love for each other has only grown.

This time they are faced with a mysterious death tied to the mafia. Leo uses his detective skills and police resources while Evelyn is contacted by the ghosts. This duo is phenomenal and they will not stop until the mystery is solved.

My wheels were turning to try to figure out who the murderer was. There were some surprises along the way. It’s a fun, nail biting, page turning read.

The mix of supernatural, crime, danger, and suspense in this series is so addictive. I adored DRAWN TO DEATH but DRAWN TO THE MAFIA was even better. I couldn’t put this book down!

It is definitely a story you need to read and experience for yourself.

Just as good as the first! Iv said it in my review for the first book but I love how she explains in detail the encounters the main character has with her ghosts, it's so detailed and I can imagine them so clearly. I can't wait to start the final book!

Evelyn has an amazing gift (or curse if you will) in that she can communicate with ghosts through her art, and it's helped solve a brutal crime or two. She finally has a love life with Leo, a detective who finally believes in her gift, but due to situations in the previous book, he's almost stifling her with over protectiveness these days as he's trying to keep her safe. On top of this issue, her gift has been non-existent, and she wants it back but it's tricky trying to get around Leo to get things kicked off again. She ends up at a cemetary, and meets a mysterious but dangerous man who has ties to Leo from the past, and all of a sudden, she's hearing from his dead wife, who was actually murdered so she's off and running again with a new case, and Leo is still trying to keep her safe while doing his best to solve this closed case. Kat Shehata has such an engaging writing style that as soon as I pick one of her books up, I'm down for the count until I have every last answer. Like the previous book, this has twists coming in hot so I was suspicious of everyone (except the MMCs) to save time LOL! I LOVE LOVE LOVE this series, and HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Ugh. It just gets worse.
Evelyn is awful. But the author makes it seem like such a nonissue because they’re in a life or death situation, but she almost kissed another man and she sent that man a nude selfie. Girl! I don’t care whose ghost possessed you. You tell your man that happened unless you want it to break you up.
And yeah, Leo was stupid to not let Evelyn know he knew Nicoletta and dated her, and that just seemed like something thrown in there because of Evelyn’s secret. In no way are these secrets the same. One is the past and childish to not dish out, the other is a potential relationship breaker.
And the whole mafia thing was weak. I wanted to like this series but it doesn’t get better.

What another spine tingling addition to this thrilling series.
I was captivated from cover to cover and didn't want it to end, especially with the way it ended. I need more!
It was very cleverly done, so much so that I couldn't not add it to my top reads list.
And I can't even tell you why I loved it, because talking about either the characters or plot will give away major spoilers.
So I'll just leave you with....one click immediately, you won't regret it.
I cannot wait to see what the author comes up with for the series as she set the bar high with this one.

I absolutely LOVED this book. I have to say that the first half of the book was a bit slow and predictable. I am so glad that I kept on reading. The second half is a definite page turner, to the point I didn't want to put it down. There were several big twists at the end, and I can't wait until the next book in this series comes out in the fall.

I would like to thank the publisher and author for their generosity in sharing thus signed paperback edition for me to review. Kudos, Kat!
