A Crash-Course In Building a Badass Body, Getting Your Shit Together, and Living the Life of Your Dreams
The Hero Handbook is a collection of principles, ideas, and action steps I've learned that will help you build a great body and live an amazing life. And I want to give it to you for free.
Thanks to the lessons I've learned from mentors, conversations with amazing people, and trial and error, I've developed a list of rules and action steps to live a remarkable life. And I put them all in the Hero Handbook.
You should all read this, like, today. It's short and you could probably do it in one afternoon if you had a couple hours at once to devote to it. I read it a couple years ago and even though I knew I wanted to reread it, I hadn't remembered just how much great stuff is in here. It's basically everything my mom has tried to tell me about life, but using words the average lame guy could appreciate. You should be able to get it for free online (that's how I read it).
This book was recommended by a male friend. I thought it was just an ordinary e-book but I was wrong. This is a great book to start renewing yourself for a better after being hibernating from life. It has full of easy-to-do activities to achieve the kind of person you want to be.
Cool short ebook - written as a kick in the ass from a friend - about getting your life together and become your own hero. Advices about view on life, fitness, nutrition, sleep, finances/depth, productivity etc. ____________________________________
''It doesn't matter what you know. It matters what you do.'' - ''Heroes make their own luck and pursue whatever it is they want accomplish. They don't collect information just to forget about it or put it off for another day.''
''The more I planned what I wanted my life to be like - and the more I executed that plan - the luckier I became''
''We've never taken the time to define what our values are, and all the old credibility indicators - graduating college, settling into a career, getting married, raising a family - have disappeared. What's left is a gap most of us fill with apathy, bad booze, boredom, and shitty jobs.'' - ''We don't know what we're working for. We don't know what to expect. We don't know what our lies should be like.''
''It should be liberating. Knowing you're going to die someday give you a deadline. You can do whatever you want, and you can start right now. In fact, every day you don't do what you want is another day that's gone forever.''
''We have a real opportunity to do fun things, help other people, and live a worthwhile life. We have a chance to build a legacy that will carry on after we die.''
''No one is coming to your rescue.''
''Don't Blindly Swallow the Supposed Tos'' - ''Guess what? You aren't supposed to do shit''
Was a very fast read, the book itself is super simplified guide to get your life handled with a large focus on fitness and health. Nothing really revolutionary, the whole book sounds like one big rant which to be honest isn't necessarily a bad thing. I would suggest you to read it if you have no idea how to get stuff done in life (if you are willing to admit that). The process would include eating healthy food, exercising, setting goals and getting your debts sorted out. If you're already doing this stuff then this book won't provide you with anything new. Still I'd like to thank the author for the effort and the value he put into this. It definitely has a unique tone and I'm glad to see that books like these are being put out there as free to download.
