MESSAGES FROM THE RAVEN is a collection of 26 poems. Hunter's poems carry a kind of truth; the kind spoken by a Raven. He presents not only life in the '60s and '70s and '80s in places with names like Kodiak, Cordova, Fairbanks, and Arctic Village, but also along the mosquito-riden banks of the Koyukuk River and a lonely campsite beside a fronzen lake on Dulbi Flats. He gives a an invitation to enter a world not known by many humans.....
