This is not a Master’s level course book. The author begins by saying she will take a strategic approach to organizational communication, but the bulk of the text is tactical. In fact chapter 7 is all about how to write business communication, including PowerPoint and drafting emails. I would say this is an entry level Business-Comms book. I was disappointed that this was chosen for a Master’s level course.
I did appreciate how the author incorporated case studies, but I felt some were outdated and didn’t apply as well to the chapter they were attached to.
