In this coming of age story, high school senior, Jane Lloyd, is forced to try out for JANE EYRE, the school play so she can get into Columbia University and carry on family tradition, and she also has to take a part-time job as a car hop. As the year progresses, she finds out how to kiss, how to handle two-timing "friends," and herself than she counted on. When she discovers the secret of the class hottie, she has to take action, but if she takes the wrong stand against him, she'll endanger her chances of getting into college in the fall.

This is a fun light read about a girl who learns that the true love of one's fantasy might be a whole lot better than the reality. Jane is a girl with two things on her mind--admittance to Columbia University and the dreamy, seemingly out of her reach, Nate. She's determined to get both. However, when Nate turns out to be a different guy than she imagined, Jane sets her sights on revenge. More a revenge story than a romance, it's quite funny, fast-paced and always entertaining. Jane is a determined girl who also deals with OCD. She has a quirky but supportive and loving family who add to the richness of the story. Recommend.
Very entertaining read, with a fun pro-feminism revenge that isn't really related to Jane Eyre, but manages to work in a little bit of a relationship. I thought Jane Lloyd had a funny, neurotic narrative voice, that carried this chick-lit type story well.
