Emotional intelligence is a cornerstone of influence, and self awareness is at its center.

Emotional competencies:

Control of our own emotions and not surrendering to impulsive feelings or responses. When someone sends a negative email, for example, we control the desire to lash out.

Ability to successfully adjust our behavior to better relate to others.

Your number is followers has an impact on how people perceive you. It’s not everything, but that vanity metic can boost your ethos.

💡Get an endorsement or referral from a trusted third party.
💡Pay attention to how you dress; like it or not, it matters.
💡Develop a powerful voice. Hire a voice coach if necessary.

There is a sequence to how people process information and more importantly, accept ideas.

3 Ps - predict, preempt, prevent

✅ The wrong sequence is one of the biggest mistakes people make when they communicate.

The moment someone asks the price, the rate or the commission before you’ve had a chance to communicate value, it’s over.

💭💭💭 The most resilient leaders have incredible coping skills to get through adversity. One of those skills is the ability to not dwell on the struggles of life. ✨✨✨

Am I safe?
Do you care about me?
Is this engaging?

The number one skill of a leader is self awareness!! 🟣

Only 10-15% of people who say they are self aware really are.

🟣 Successful leaders are consciously in touch with who they are, their emotions, and what’s happening around them.

What sets influence apart from manipulation is that influence most often happens transparently with both parties full aware of it.

Manipulation is using persuasion to an extreme at the expense of another person and is often done without the persons knowledge.

🟣 Offer 3-5 times more value that what you charge for your services. If you can’t do that, then you have other problems to solve first.

Who is my audience? This is ALWAYS the most important question. Your audience determines everything. If you were speaking to a group of 13 year olds, your message would be very different from one to a group of referral partners.

Being transparent about your intentions and desire for alignment is ethical and a mark of respect for your colleague.

If your ethos is as risk (credibility), face is and fix it head on with integrity. 🟣🟣

I’ve been anxiously awaiting this book’s release. René has such an impact on anyone who can attend AMPLIFII™ or one of his keynote speeches, but his time is of course limited. With this book, so many more people are going to be exposed to this system that should revolutionize how they think about their own stories, which in turn will amplify their effect on those around them. It is not hyperbolic to say that this book could change the world.

the best book I’ve read in a long time.

There were moments I truly felt this book was written for me. If you’re looking to not only learn how to influence but also rewire you’re entire mind for success, this is the book for you. Coming from a person who has read almost every self development book out there, don’t miss this one.

good book on leadership with some useful tips that you could in the field immediately. The book covers building awareness, story telling, body language, influence and stress reduction. Overall worth the read.

Pretty good. I had a hard time getting through it. I was sold by the author I think on insta, so he's a rock star sales person and an ok author. If you don't read very often it's possible this book provides a wow for you.

This was ok not great; a well thought through amalgation of what is known about communicating effectively, as such nothing new is brought to the table; as a primer on the subject this was pretty decent, but don't expect too much.

Apart from Ethos, Pathos and Logos, you also need to care about chairos and telos.
