Three and a half stars. Interesting plotting but a bit too much of a chess game type plot for my taste. Thus is my first by this longtime, fairly popular author, but I suspect he's likely to become a filler for me, especially since his books seem a bit hard to find. Some terrific high spots carried me through as well as a genuine interest into how things would turn out when the Russian mob kingpin tried to merge with Italian and American Mafia while the FBI and Russians work to stop the effort.
