HRK is the best book for Physics students.
As the physics is the basic of sciences so clear your concepts by reading hrk.

my favourite topic in physics 1: mechanics and special relativity was rotational kinematics for sure. i liked how they separated conceptual vs numerical problems BUT i think the explanations were pretty outdated, so i'd pair using this textbook with online resources while taking physics 1 (and probably future physics courses as well)

Goodbye, Resnick, Halliday, and Krane. I'm marking you as read and then getting rid of you. Pretty sure the U of Washington used to use this for part of their freshman physics courses.

Of all the boring ways to talk about physics. Geez.

Physics, by Halliday and Resnick is a great introduction to physics with basic calculus. The theory is very good, always with illuminating examples. However, I think its exercises are, in general, weak and I also missed a more rigorous math in some parts of the book.

The worst book I ever used. Reading this was just a waste of time. I have not finished this yet and don't want to finish it.
