Solid example of the series and men's adventure genre. Was cool seeing Hal get his hands dirty and also members of Phoenix Force make appearances.

Recommended for fans of anything from The Executioner series of books or just a solid adventure book.

3 stars. I first read this one when it came out; I was in the hospital and a relative brought me some books to read, and thus was I introduced to the world of Mack Bolan. So, there is nostalgia in this for me.

As I used to tell my students at the University, there is nothing wrong with a C, or 3 out of 5, or 3 stars: it means you did your job. These stories ate very formulaic and riddles with tripes common to the 80s. Oh, and the language! There was one firefight where the rifle erupted with its rounds death seed. I was rolling!

The team has to stop a group of terrorists out to destroy the country through the use of computers. It's an all-star affair. The job is to big just for Able Team to take on. Phoenix Force comes to the rescue. This was the second Tom Arnett Able Team book I read. This one was more directed towards the cloak and dagger side of things. The action is still in abundance. The ending was the only real problem I had with it. It just ends out of nowhere. Still a good read.

Enjoyable entry in the series. Story moves at a good clip, and the action--particularly the martial arts bits--were written clearly and cleanly. Far from the best of the series (that I've read so far), but still a good time.
