A favorite of mine when I was young. I'd check this book out from the library time and time again and sing all the songs. Do You Know the Way to San Jose? What the World Needs Now is Love. I Say a Little Prayer. Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head. . . .

And how did I even know these songs? My sister sang them to me and, since it was the 70's, there were endless variety shows on in the evening to entertain my parents and me. These songs were just - in the air.

All of my childhood favorites are here: What The World Needs Now; Anyone Who Had a Heart, Walk On By; The Look Of Love; I Say A Little Prayer; (There's) Always Something There To Remind Me; and so on. Bacharach produced that special vibe (tunes) and David the message (words).
