Eight seconds of non-stop, heart pounding adrenaline. This book is one of the best books I have ever read! Lane Frost was a national champion for bull riding. This book is about how Lane Frost grew up and came to be a national champion. In this book it talks about how Lane grew up and then how he grew up riding. As he became better and better at riding he came across this bull called Red Rock. Red Rock was the number one bull to ride and no one had lasted 8 seconds on him. This book gave Lane's background of him and his wife Kelly and how she and him dealt with his career. I can relate to this book because I grew up on a ranch and I am around bulls and cows and I relate to the way that Lane is. If you like the country side of things and you think you can relate to this then you should defiantly read this book. Although, if you aren't in to country things and things having to do with rodeo then I don't recommend this book for you. It is just really a heart warming and heart wrenching book to read what happens. It is a great and amazing interpretation of Lane Frost and what made him so special.

8 Seconds tells the life story of the late Lane Frost, the greatest Bull Rider ever, who sadly was killed at the young age of 28, in the prime of his career and his legacy still lives on today.

I'm a huge fan of the PCRA Rodeo circuit, for decades have religious followed the circuit, like everything about it, the Bulls and bareback bronco's are the best.

Man could Frost ever ride a bull, he made it look so easy, his legendary ride of Red Rock was amazing to see, here's a link to that https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tJPRE... and can just imagine the battles he would have had with HOF bull Bodacious.

Definitely track this one down, a shame that it never was re-print or available as a ebook.

Lane is one of the best bullriders on the rodeo circuit. He finds himself growing found of a young barrel racer named kellie. After him and Kellie go out to dinner one night after a rodeo they were inseparable! Lane was getting more and more famous by the day. He got a deal to try and ride a bull named red rock that no cowboy had ever made it to 8 seconds on. He had three try's to do this. After rodeos out of town the newly wedded couple faced problems of distance. Kellie and lane were both unfaithful to each other. After fixing things with kellie, he finally was the first cowboy to conquer Red Rock. That meet he went on to "The daddy of them all" the Cheyenne frontier days rodeo! At this rodeo lane went up against a bull named "Takin' care of business" which would sadly be his last ride. Lane nodded his head and gave his familiar "OK boys, OK boys!" Sadly those were his last words he would speak. In less than 15 seconds Lane Frost was gone from this world forever. Leaving behind kellie his mother best friend and partner Tuff and father who had more guilt than anyone from the constant pressure he put on lane to be the best. Lane was 25 when this happened. He was not only am amazing bull rider loving husband but he was the best cousin/mentor a girl could ask for. R.I.P. Lane Frost! Gone but never forgotten!<3

I am really enjoying this book. Its about rodeos and famous bull rider named Lane Frost. It explains his life from start to finish when he died in 1989 at 28 years old. His legacy lives on in the rodeo world. He is looked up to by young and old riders, even now. In the book, it describes his love with a barrel racer named Kellie he met. The book is mainly about love, rodeo, and bull riding. Thats why I love it. It is also a very good movie.

Mostly enjoyable. Very quick read. Almost identical to the movie. In depth details in regards to each and every bull ride. I personally enjoy more of a 'story' read. Would recommend to rodeo fans.
