I read this book at the beginning of the school year to my early pre-K kids. Sometimes I read it again during letter B week, too. It’s cute with 3 or 4 very short chapters taking about different things these 3 are up to. It is about 3 different sizes and how all can do all the things but differently because of their sizes.

As an EFL teacher in Brazil I would use this with second grade rather than kindergarten or 1st, but I would use them. Composite of 3 stories about the three title characters. Great little interactions. It can be a reading book, a training book or even the start of some small project on friendship.

pb had been working on this in her bed before going to sleep-unbeknownst to me. We read it a couple days ago and she needed help with pencil and eraser (a couple pages into it) and then we got to a pretty long page. She flew through it reading words like BLACKBOARD! Didn't even phase her. What a good girl! I asked her if Dad had read it to her or if they had read it at school---nope! She had just been practicing.

CRAZY!

This is a wonderfully endearing story book about a bug, a bear, and a boy doing things together. The book is written in four very short, easy-to-read chapters: School; The Ride; The Kite; The Picture. It is funny in a sweet way and expressively illustrated.
