I really enjoyed this comic! I originally bought it for my husband because he wanted something “medieval and fantasy and light hearted” and I thought dinosaurs fit that bull nicely. And I was confident he would like the art.

He doesn’t like dinosaurs. How did I not know this?! But I decided to give it a shot anyway, as I don’t mind them. I was pleasantly surprised! I have just started to get into comics and graphic novels and I really enjoyed this one! There was actual story and plot (not just contrived romance), the characters felt real, it wasn’t immediately confusing (looking at you, Monstress!). My only, only issue with it is when it was brought over from single issues to a compendium book (what are they called?!), one of the panels in the second book seems to have been cut in half at the top of the page, but that’s more a printing issue than story issue. Anyway, I’m excited to see more of this story in the future!

What if dinosaurs had never gone extinct? How would humans have coped, used the dinosaurs to our advantage, or suffer under the huge beasts?

The first issue of Neozoic was fun. The art is clean and professional. The plot was fast paced, jumping into the action and getting our attention and curiosity. However, the characters seemed like that might be a little cliche - a pinup-like warrior girl, a gruff general who is 'too old for this', a man whose dream has always been to join the band of dinosaur wranglers. It has potential, but didn't leave me wanting more.

Was in the mood to read a graphic novel. Fast paced, would take no more then 10 mins to read. This comic was just that, buts that basically it.

Besides the artwork, it did not even slightly make me want to read more on this dinosaur world. Interesting story, just didn't deliver. Overall, I gave it two stars for the artwork and because I wasn't completely bored.

Humans and dinosaurs co-exist in this comics reality. But how does their reality work?

Detailed, albeit somewhat cartoonish, illustrations lead the reader through a sort of day to day narrative.

Characters are authentic, for their reality, flawed, with the potential for future development.

Overall, a promising read.

This was extremely short and although the idea of the story was interesting, humans coexisting with dinosaurs, it was so short that this first volume didn't give enough of an introduction to this graphic novel series.

This was a quick read and I loved the art but I didn't get enough story for me to invest in the rest of the tale.

Enjoyable nonetheless.
