"Why?"

Rate this book
During the 40's and 50's, many families migrated from the south in search of freedom and decent work for decent pay. One such family, the Boxx Family, moved up north and unknowingly took with them a wickedness more destructive than poverty or cancer...a Pedophile. In the riveting novel, "Why?" by author and Talk Show Host, D.A. Rhodes, character Ella Boxx, one of the victims of this terribly sick and twisted man, takes us on a very personal and graphic journey through her life! In "Why?" you'll experience a family full of secrets and an evil that drifts from generation to generation, decaying the very moral fiber of the Boxx Family. Can they survive the evil that has been unleashed, or will countless more generations suffer in silence, whispering..."Why?" The hot, new novel, "Why?" by one of the most powerful and passionate authors of our generation, D.A. Rhodes, is a perfect study for Book Clubs, Supports Groups and anyone looking for literary depth and intensity!

Why you shouldn't read this book

I can get over the typos but it's the content that made it hard to read. Characters that obviously the author didn't card about were given a chapter? We don't care and not enough content to start to care about them. This book was long and extra with no purpose and time jumps that aren't clearly fleshed out.

The topic of child molestation is a difficult one to read, but Ms. Rhodes provides a strong framework to explore how this intergenerational problem feeds on itself and how decisions made in early childhood can have devastating consequences later, but she still leaves you with hope.
