At Home With The Inner Self (Paperback) - Common

Rate this book
"There is a fountain-spring of endless guidance and information within every human being." This is not a book of beautiful words, but of hard-won truths. As a diagnosed schizophrenic, Jim Burns was a man tortured by his outer self for much of his life, yet truly "at home with the inner self." His illness gave him unique insight into psychology and the impetus to study the mind as, truly, his life depended on it. Perhaps his greatest gift is leaving clues for other spiritual seekers looking for inner truth. "My answer," he says, "is to know the Self."

Intriguing, compelling, venturing

Some of what Burns wrote really, deeply resonated. Other bits seem crazy, unhinged.

And after reading this, I think that's a perfect example of what it's like to be ever more aware of your being. Fascinating and short read.
