The Pussy Trap

Rate this book
They say if you leave an enemy breathing they rise up and take revenge. Kayson, a big time dealer in New York, got his come-up early in the game by killing anybody he had to on his way to the top. Anxiously waiting for fifteen years to get revenge, an opportunity finally presents itself when his right-hand man Aldeen introduces him to KoKo. KoKo is a boss in her own right and down for whatever, so when the offer is placed on the table to work with the top man, she accepts. Kayson carefully trained KoKo to be his best angel of death. With a score needing to be settled, it will be KoKo who will not only seduce and trap Kaysons enemy, but she will also end up stumbling upon an enemy of her own. Will the trap Kayson sets for his enemy quench his thirst for revenge or will the power of the pussy prove to be his own downfall? The Pussy Trap is a dramatic web full of sex, greed, power and payback.

I've got a lot of books in my kindle and on my bookshelf that I hadn't gotten around to reading yet. The Pussy Trap was on my wish list and when it was gifted to me, I just had to put everything aside and get my read on. I have to admit that I was very disappointed when Kayson was taken away from KoKo so soon, but so far my girl has not disappointed. She is holding it all the way down or should I say she is trappin' them every chance she gets. Monique has a secret to tell and I'm ready to hear it!! July can't get her fast enough! I need to see whose loyal and whose not, hear all the secrets that will be revealed, and most of all I need to see what will happen to KoKo? Will she keep trappin' or will she get trapped? This book was off the chain and I hated for it to end. I'm so glad that there will be a Pussy Trap 2. Hats off to NeNe Capri, and Wahida Clark Publishing. Job well done!!! Once I started this book I could not put it down, I finished in a couple of hours. The main characters in this book are KoKo and Kayson. Kayson is "the Boss" and everyone knows it, he is gangster but also intelligent. Let's not forget that he is amazing in the bedroom. I mean his sex game so tight you have no choice but to obey his every command. KoKo works the streets and is also gangster so Kayson decides she is perfect for a job he needs to pull off. Can KoKo be trained and complete the job without messing up? Can Kayson really trust KoKo? This book kept me on edge and I could never guess what was going to happen next and the sex scenes were amazing. So much happened in this book and lots of secrets were kept, so I know there has to be another part. I would definitely recommend this book, it's a 5 star read!!!!

Pretty good book. I hate that Kayson died and now I am curious to see what the connection is to Koko, Kayson, his mother, and her dad. I also thought it was kinda messed up that she killed her sister but she didn't know and it was too late. I hope there is a part 2.

First of all when i got this book it was based on word of mouth.. I did not know that this book would turn out to be the business. The Boss is something serious but Koko was a perfect match for his gangsta.

Caught Up

I’m one of those readers that always reads the book’s synopsis right before starting it. So quickly I read over the synopsis for “The Pussy Trap,” cracked it open and got to reading. None of the names from the synopsis matched the characters I was reading about. The copy I have is an ARC (uncorrected proof) so I figured the names were changed in editing and just weren’t reflected in the copy I have (which is NOT cool either, but I’ve seen it before so I wasn’t too alarmed. Annoyed but not alarmed.). But just as I was getting used to the characters and the storylines within the first eight chapters, the rug was pulled out from under me, literally. The book completely jumped the track and headed in another direction and was suddenly based on the characters and information from the synopsis. “Huh?” you’re probably asking, because that’s most certainly what I was asking. I so did not appreciate the feeling of having my time wasted for eight chapters. I don’t know who thought that was a good idea and I place blame with both the author and publisher. I get what Capri was attempting to do with a tie in later (WAY later), but that execution was poor and should have been done in a better way than that. Had this not been a review book, put down is where it would have gone.

With chapter nine readers meet the main characters, Kayson and Koko. Honestly, I was more interested in the characters and story of the first eight chapters. Kayson is that dude. The dude we all know so well because we see him in so many books today. He reads books like ‘The Art of War,’ ‘48 Laws of Power’ and plays chess. He’s fine, hazel eyes and all. And of course, he’s got a big joy stick. Koko is a member on his team making so much noise on the streets that he knows she is perfect for his next move. He needs a bad chick and Koko is that, except she’s a little rough around the edges. But that’s nothing to a man of Kayson’s caliber. Kayson takes Koko under his wings to train her and they both get more out of the deal than they expected.

Kayson and Koko are over the top, larger than life characters repeatedly placed in farfetched scenarios. So much went into making the stereotypical and very cliché bad chick and bad dude, other elements were sacrificed, including believability, logic and development. And further chipping away at those elements, the book is not complete, making a sequel necessary as so much was left unanswered, unresolved or just didn’t make sense.

I applaud Capri for her effort. Ultimately, “The Pussy Trap” worked against itself. There will be plenty of folks that enjoy this read, evident by the glowing reviews, but sex, violence, and drama can mask what’s lacking for only so long. Those elements have to be shored up with substance and development. For those desiring a little more depth, they unfortunately won’t find it here. The concept had potential but the execution was lacking. Had the writing been more focused, I believe this could have been a smoother and more cohesive read. Instead, “The Pussy Trap” is a very typical read similar to many books today.

I won’t count Ne Ne Capri out, but I’d like to see her step it up, focus her writing and rid her writing of the formulaic.

I made it all the way through this book. I’m proud of myself for that. I’m worried for the women who find this book erotic. Drug dealers, killing, and woman beating are not turn ons for me.

The next man up in New York is Kayson,he lets no one get in his way of him making the next dollar.Any one in is way can get it.When he is up against his enemy he needs the best in the game to he help him. When his friend introduce him to Koko he knows he has a lot of training to do.

Koko ,a young girl a hustler in her own right loves the streets. The thrill she get from being on the block makes her feel like she can take on the world when actually she can,all the guys on the block look up to her and she is not to be messed with. When she meets Kayson for the first time to her he is just like the rest of the guys on the block and will not stop her.

As its time to get down to business a lot of secrets will be exposed and a lot of questions will be left unanswered its up to you to figure out the mystery.

I like this story. The story had a great story line. The only thing that i didn't like is that I was kind of confused with the characters.Good job on your first novel can't wait to read more.

"The Pussy Trap" is the story of Koko and Kayson. Kayson is the boss. He runs his team effectively and effortlessy( with a little help from the " enforcer" of course, lol). Koko is one of his soldiers, who just so happens to be boss material as well but is a little rough around the edges. I can't go into detail without spoiling the story (smile).
I was recommended this book by a friend and I must say, Ms. Nene Capri has proven herself an effective story teller. With well developed characters, vivid descriptions, little to no errors, and a plot that will leave you guessing until the very last page and beyond, I could not put this book down once I started! I am anticipating part two!

This book moved so slow. By the 5/6 u already knew the entire plot and everyone was connected in some way. Then course when all the questions are about to be answered the book was over. Wtf! I feel like once Kiki found out Terence had somethin to do with her husband being killed she could’ve come up with a better plan or
The author could have cut out all the unnecessary sex scenes and tell us everyone’s connections. I had to skip through the last hour because it wasn’t relevant to anything. And then why to u keep having sex with ur husbands killer. I understand why u did right before u killed him but damn kill him and get it over with. It was just too much

If it's great sex scenes and action you want, then this book does not disappoint. On the otherhand, if it's a cohesive storyline that you are in search of, I am afraid you will have to keep looking. I didn't understand the purpose for all of the detail in the first chapters only to slide right into the main characters without even so much as a reference or proper transition. I will say that it is well written, I just didn't really care for the whole over-the-top Bonnie and Clyde storyline.

I really wanted to and tried to love this book...especially due to the all the high ratings it got from everyone.

In the beginning, it was non-stop drama and I didn't want to put it down. By the time I was approx. 30% done with the book, I realized there were entirely too many characters and I was totally confused.

When I hit about 50%, I was bored with the book. There was still non-stop drama, but it seemed like it was the exact same drama as in the beginning. It went from being a page-turner to me, to a book I had to force myself to read.

After awhile, I started skipping pages (mainly sex scenes) just to hurry and finish the book. I considered not finishing the book numerous times, but I didn't want to give up.

By the end of the book, I was glad for it to be over, but was so upset that the last 3 or 4 pages picked up again and left me hanging about something I actually want to know the answer to. I will eventually read Part 2, however, this book has turned me off of urban fiction for awhile so it won't be any time soon.

This book was great it was filled with alot of action packed parts like drug dealings, killings, ect. I think that this is a good book to read because it will educate you on how people choose to live just to make theirselves feel more important. When i was reading this book i was really engaged into it because it kept me interested. What i mnean by this is that there was always a part in the book where you would be thinking ohh i wonder whats going to happen next or why something happened. This book was kind of inspirational to me beacuse it showed me how their are really people out in the world that want to live like this being the next top one and how its all about having money now-adays. I think this book can inspire others because they can see that life is not as easy as you think. Even though the things that you are doing seem right their is always a consequense behind something. Overall i think that its a great book to read and i would read it over and over if i could.

It's a fast enough read, if you're over analytical like me at times and want somethings to make sense or to be a bit realistic this book is probably not for you.
Coca being the woman she was it shouldn't have been that easy for the boss (I forgot his name) to sleep with her, surely she would have put up more fight than that.
Secondly the book is very sexually I like that it was but there is a point where it took away from the foundation of the book it self, the plot seem to lack
Due to it being overly filled with sex.
I appreciate the ending of the book though but most of the book didn't seem realistic and was a bit lacking for me but it wasn't a boring read..

I can't even put into words how jaw dropping the action, drama, revenge and erotic encounters caused this book to more than earn 5 stars.

I was caught off guard once the book made its full presence known to me by introducing the amazingly passionate couple Kayson and KoKo...
Kayson was a tough Boss of the streets that wasn't looking, but found his match in Koko.
Koko did not hold back how she felt, no matter who she was speaking too, so this made the physical and emotional entanglements between the two jump right off the pages of my Kindle...

Love Love Loved it.

This was a true page turner...NeNe did her thing on this one!!!I gave it a 5 star rating because it was full of action and continued to hold me all the way through to the end!!It never actually slowed down. There was alot of action, blood shed, hatred, and payback is truely deadly. The only thing I hated was the way it ended!!I cant wait to read part two to find out what the Big secret is...so NeNe please hurry with this one...lol
