A catalogue which accompanied the exhibition of the Wong Nan-P'ing collection in 1994 organized by the Yale University Museum of Art. The collection of Ming and Qing painting and calligraphy is an illustration of orthodox painting in China from 1450 to 1850. Every well known master is included along with a collection of works that represent the Wu school. There are introductory essays by Richard M. Barnhart, James Cahill, Ju-Hsi Chou, Shen C.Y. Fu, Chu-Tsing Li, James C. Y. Watt, and Marshall P.S. Wu. It is illustrated with several works of art, scrolls, albums, and examples of calligraphy in color and black and white. It contains 89 entries, and appendix with 35 more entries that were not included in the exhibition, a bibliography and an index.
