Given an impossible task by the Angels, Xandra takes the first step in completing it when she travels to the Fae realm to protect the one man she would like to kill herself.
Along the way, she discovers that Kallen has been keeping yet another secret from her. One that could tear them apart forever. Will she stay with him, or will she fall into the arms of another?
2. My children. (Please don’t tell my kids I listed fans before them. You may cause a riot in my home. They’re pretty feisty kids.)
3. My cats and dogs when they’re not making me sniffle, sneeze, rub my eyes or irritating my asthma. (Scratch that, they always do and I love them anyway.)
4. Writing. (I would have listed this first, but it would have looked bad. Worse than putting fans before my kids.)
5. Good friends. (Fortunately, I have several.)
6. Quiet evenings at home in front of the fireplace reading a good book. (Please, like that’s going to happen with five kids in the house - but I can dream can’t I?)
7. I got stuck here so I asked a couple of friends to tell me their fondest memory of me. This is what I got:
Deb: It was when you used to babysit Michael and rode the horse in Meijer so he could ride with you. Also......my first trip to TX for a wedding. You were at my house and said you would put my clothes in the dryer when they were done. Needless to say, the next morning I had to pack wet clothes in my suitcase. The airline lost my luggage for 4 days so when I finally got it back, my clothes were all mildewed. (Okay, in my defense – I was twelve at the time. The sad thing is, I still forget to put clothes in the dryer.)
Michele: I have too many…but one of the first that popped in my head was how you drove all the way to Chicago to look at my apartment for me because I was too hung over, and then gave me all the details so I could pretend I was there. You are a good friend... (It was only a seven hour round trip. What are friends for?)
Joe: A particular Domino’s pizza delivery and you invited the delivery guy inside…(I’m going to stop there because my ex-husband thinks he’s funny.)
For obvious reasons, I didn’t ask anyone else.
Hates:
1. Puppies, kittens, babies, sunshine, peace on earth, goodwill, recycling, education, gifts, and sweets of any kind. (Really, I do.)
2. Being facetious. (I would never dream of it!)
3. People who don’t read my books. (Well, maybe not all of them. But, most of them.)
4. People who always manage to stop by the house when I look terrible. (You know who you are…)
5. Lumberjacks. (Don’t know why, just do.)
Now that you know everything about me, you should drop by my Facebook page to tell me all about you.
So good. Xandra is smart and tough. I like her alot. Kellan is a great male lead but he needs to tell her things so she's not blindsided. There are a bunch of new characters and not all of them are nice, but the ones that are help make this series great. Xandra has so much on her plate but she is a natural and gets stronger all the time. I love it!!!!!
Wow. This book certainly kept me entertained. I love that everything happening is completely new. Other than some spells and seeing the angels once in a while, everything is different. With those differences come growing magic and a next adventure. This series is meant for a bit younger crowd but I do enjoy it.
Ms.Fairy princess kicked daddy's ass into submission. I am glad he has a change of heart. The bikini incident had me laughing until streams of tears was running down my face... poor poor Kallen was not happy at all about that.
I loved it, all 3 Witch Fairy books are great read, I love Xandra. I laughed a lot at Blood Lines especially when clothing magic doesn't go as expected.
Just as good as the other two amd I can't wait to see what happens next. Each book leaves me wanting more. The sooner the next one comes out the better. Loved it.
I like having the heroine in the story more powerful than all the witches and fairies she has to fight. It’s made for some unique comic moments and I find myself chuckling at odd moments.
This review is for books till Book #8. Recommendation? Stop reading at Book#7.5
I've a different review posted for Book#8. But from 1-7, this series is just awesome.
Xandra is coming of age and learns a whole new world and about herself. She deals with many challenges and comes off as any teenager - a bit confused, a bit arrogant, chastened by elders and at times rebellious.
Kallen is the character that shines in this series. He is powerful but his power is easily overshadowed by the more powerful Xandra. Yet he never lets that affect his ego or his relationship with Xandra. He manages to come off as the more mature, in-charge person. The intimate scenes between the duo are at the same time passionate and tender.
There is a lot of "wow-gorgeous" falling-for-looks-mainly thing happening but the way the characters are depicted takes away the sting of it.
Overall - the series till Book 7.5, has a natural easy flow of stories without awkward pauses or WTF moments. Totally recommend!
It's been a while since l've started this series and it was effortless to pick up right were I left off, falling back into sync with the storyline i adore. This was yet another great read absorbing the reader into another world with lots of adventure and great commitary between all the characters allowing the reader to experience more views and personalities. Main female lead did not disappoint in her fierceness, and her beliefs for what she felt morally right. Lead male lead is uplifting with the constant supporting to the female lead in all and any aspect. Something not practiced in moderate society, making for a enjoyqble read I always appreciate. Supporting characters are great and easily lovable making the read that much better.
This first book in this series was definitely not going to make my top 10 favorite books list. In fact I am thinking it would not have even come close to my top 50 books list. The second book was a bit better however. I started to feel a bud of hope that I would not totally resent this series in the end. This book definitely was a dramatic step up from it's predecessors. Looking forward to the next!
The bikini scene alone was worth the price of admission. I like how Xandra seems to be warming just ever so slightly to her bio-dad. There were some times when Kallen and Kegan's names got mixed up and that was a bit distracting, but the story itself was solid and very good. I love this series very much.
I don't have much to say about the third book in the Witch Fairy Series other than I loved it.
Xandra and Kellan find themselves in the Fairy Realm and we get to meet Kellan's family including his grandmother Isla and his cousin Kegan. And along with those characters we meet Tabitha and Aisla who fit perfectly into the story as friends and confidants to Xandra.
This book in the series brings a new setting and new scenario of troubles for Xandra. Faced with being on a new plane with a set of new characters, again, who to trust, who are her enemies? Will her father try to kill her again or will they be able to work together? This book was really good and I am surprised that every book thus far in this series has been so different from the last.
The next installment in the Witch Fairy series and it just keeps getting better with each read. That's saying much since I started the series with a five star rating (where do go from here). Blood Lines has more threats, more magic, more sarcasm, more love, and just MORE FUN!
I love the book and the story, but I was not pleased with the kindle download. There were numerous spelling and grammar errors. The layout of the chapters was all wrong. It really did upset me to see these careless mistakes.
i loved it through out.i never got bored not even a minute.Xandra was awesome and as usual smarty. It was a fun read.going to finish rest of the books to.i am in a frnzy
