With the help of the legendary sword Ten Powers and his guide, the dog Plue, sixteen-year-old Haru Glory sets out to find the five missing RAVE stones and stop the evil Demon Card society from destroying the world.
Hiro Mashima (Jap: 真島ヒロ) is a Japanese manga artist.
He gained success with his first serial Rave, published in Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine from 1999 to 2005. Fairy Tail won the Kodansha Manga Award for shōnen manga in 2009, and Mashima was given the Harvey Awards International Spotlight award in 2017 and the Fauve Special Award at the 2018 Angoulême International Comics Festival.
Starting back up with my read through of Rave Master. This volume started out slow but it builds up to one of the biggest arcs Rave Master has yet to see and it is full speed ahead from here on out. This volume revealed so much and their is still much yet we don't quite understand.
Aura bapaknya Haru keliatan bgt si huahahah. Knp tiap baca nama prajurit pelindung Remi (Fa, Solasido) bawaannya pengen ketawa😂😅 berasa mau checksound Indonesian idol
Puuuuun! I love Plue, to me I thought he was just a snow dog. Minus the fact his favorite treat is a lollipop. He's so adorable! In every manga that I read of Rave Master, I squeal when I see Plue. He's just... so cute! Just a random thought. But honestly, I have a love for books, manga (graphic novel), and anything that's good to read.
Seig's (initial...is my thoughts anyways) story wrapped up in volume 6 and so this volume serves as a kickoff to new adventures. We get to gain more background of the team as the adventure progresses, and I could not help but feel the similarities of the feelings you get when reading early One Piece and of course Fairy Tail. The train adventure is my favorite portion of the book and I will admit that Plue is a character you are required to enjoy! ha ha ha Hiro Mashima is having fun and that fun translates over to the reader and of course that is the beauty of Mashima's works. Page 90-91 brought me back to my childhood (cover of Final Fantasy VII cover slightly altered). Some of the slapstick humor along with character growth and experiences together makes another solid volume of Rave Master.
Jesus Christ, it's been like a year and a half since the last time I read a volume of this manga!?
Anyway, I guess the previous volume ended rather well with the resolution of a major arc, with whatever happened with Sieg. The gang are trying to travel to another continent for a reason I totally forgot, but they end up stuck in an underground city where some big shit happens involving and .
I forgot if I said anything about how much early Rave looks like early One Piece, but it does.
Remi is hot, like her ancestor.
We see Let near the end of the volume, which is hype as fuck.
A nice mix of some silly chapters and finally getting a lot closer to the mystery of Haru's dad. Actually, with where we are now in the story I'm curious how there are some 20 more volumes.
Haru thinks he's off to the continent of Luka just to find the Rave of Combat, but of course things can't be that simple. In the town of Rabarrier, the company discovers that the rave is threatened by the Tower of Din and its demonoids, who are led by a shadowy figure named Lord Gale. Could it be that Haru will finally come face to face with his father after fifteen years? Mashima keeps things pumped in this volume while giving us a little more background on Musica, who's been something of a shadowy figure himself. Good stuff. ****
Wow. So we had blasts from the past this volume. Almost to much to handle. Probably why we had those fillers in th e beginning. Though I loved the dip in Musica past.
It kicks off with a filler chapter or two which initially acted as a put-off but quickly recovered into what was - the fast forward version of the storyline - or at least that how it feels.
You get to see the two most "wanted" characters in the book - from both the protagonists' storyline and the antagonists' veiled intro which did shock me. I had to actually check the cover to make sure I didn't grab a future Volume by mistake.
Its also fun to see how Hiro Mashima cleverly embeds twists in subtle ripples all while massively making waves with the overall story. Its quite fun to see Haru equally as dazed as the reader with the advancement.. and quite satisfying to see how the character himself develops to be less rash and more thoughtful with his responses and actions towards the latter part of the book - showing that the Author did place special care in controlling character development but at a pace in which him and only him can see and adjust.
Overall - despite the fillers - I'm quite satisfied with the quantum leap of this Volume.
