Frances J. Roberts was a prolific Christian author and musician best known for her devotional classic Come Away My Beloved, which has sold over a million copies and been translated into multiple languages. In 1964, she founded The King’s Press, where she wrote and published nine devotional books over three decades. A graduate of Moody Bible Institute, she served as Florida’s state director for Child Evangelism Fellowship and wrote the popular Wordless Book Song during that time. A gifted musician, she composed eighty-eight published hymns and worked as a church accompanist. Her ministry work also included teaching at a Spanish mission school and contributing to music ministries across various congregations.
