Honestly a great book. The author is true to himself and tells his story and point of view humbly and with heart. Having been publish at the turn of the century, it is a bit dated though so I will be looking to pick up other books on the topic that have been published more recently.

I was astonished to learn this piece of unmitigated tripe might still be in print. So I thank the Goodreads list "Homophobic Bullshit" where it appeared. I first read this work twenty five years ago, was disgusted then, and now even more so. David Morrison's "spiritual journey" is a sad exercise in self-hatred -- poorly written, wildly inaccurate, and dangerous in its virulent anti-gay position. It's also an exercise in papalist triumphalism at the expense of the Episcopal Church whose only apparent transgression was to attempt to help this tortured soul.
