Always an adventurer in life as well as writing, New York Times best-selling author Cherry Adair moved halfway across the globe from Cape Town, South Africa to the United States in her early years to become a interior designer. Now a resident of the Pacific Northwest she shares the award- winning adventures of her fictional T-FLAC counter terrorism operatives with her readers.

Cherry settled in beautiful San Francisco, where she started what eventually became a thriving interior design business. "I loved being a designer because it was varied and creative, and I enjoyed working with the public." A voracious reader when she was able to carve out the time, Cherry found her brain crowded with characters and stories of her own. "Eventually," she says, "the stories demanded to be told."

When asked why she chooses to write romantic action adventure, she says, "Who says you can’t have adventure and a great love life? Of course if you’re talking about an adventurous love life, that’s another thing altogether. I write romantic suspense coupled heart-pounding adventure because I like to entertain, and nothing keeps readers happier than a rollercoaster read, followed by a happy ending."

Popular on the workshop circuit, Cherry gives lively classes on writing and the writing life. Pulling no punches when asked how to become a published writer, Cherry insists, "Sit your butt in the chair and write. There's no magic to it. Writing is hard work. It isn't for sissies or whiners."

Cherry loves to spend time at home. A corner desk keeps her focused on writing, but the windows behind her, with a panoramic view of the front gardens, are always calling her to come outside and play. Her office has nine-foot ceilings, a fireplace, a television and built-in bookcases that will house approximately 3,500 paperback books.

"What can I say? My keeper shelf has been breeding in the middle of the night, rather like drycleaners' wire clothes hangers.”

Great steamy romance novella full of suspense and danger. It's a second chance romance between an almost divorced H/h. Theres a plane crash, espionage and action. The story was part of a duo in one publication entitled 'Payback'. Love this new to me author! 4.5 stars as it's so packed with entertainment for a shorter book.

It's an older story that's been updated and in the process unfortunately there are some typos, so be aware of that.

Playing For Keeps by Cherry Adair

Danica Cross knew something was wrong the the flight from South America. And shortly after that feeling, the plane shuddered.
Jon Raven is desperate to see his wife Dani and make sure 1) she is not hurt and 2) that she understands there will be no divorce thanks to this second chance.

Everything is not as innocent as it appears. This is a fast moving action adventure with a bit of sex thrown it for color and romance. A play on McGiver type weapons and actions.
Could have used a bit more editing as there were context errors and repeats.

I read the enhanced version of this short story which included character descriptions, story outlines, weapon descriptions and some fun photo storyboards.
Overall a fun short adventure.

Danica and Jon Raven are explosive together! Great action and adventure too! It's always amazing to see a big, strong, sexy alpha man treat his woman like fine china, to see him admit is faults, and ask for forgiveness. That doesn't mean she forgives him but it's always nice to see him ask for it.

Cherry Adair writes romantic suspense like no one else and these enhanced versions are awesome! I can't wait to see what's next for this amazing author.

his is how a woman wants a man to feel about her! I adore how in love Dani and Raven are with each other. Raven has it all under control, and Dani gets to flex her muscle proving she's his match. A very fun read.

I don't know if it was just my Kindle or not, but there were some problems with the file--several duplicate lines and even a whole paragraph at one point.

Love Cherry's short stories--short is all the suspense I can handle. :)

For some reason I couldn't get into either the sex or the action, bit of a meh for me. I was disappointed as all the reviews pointed towards an exciting read...
